False positive on blind spot monitor

I had an issue with blind spot sensor activating falsely intermittently only when I had a bike rack with 3 bikes on hitch. All other times works flawlessly. Dealership can not corroborate if bike wheel which was obscuring the rear left bumper corner would cause this it was very alarming when alarm went off while signaling left turn. Dealership said they had no bulletins on this only for rear proximity sensors little so or sensors located on rear bumper. I really need answers

should I leave vehicle wit dealer to diagnose? Again only happed once when has bike rack installed must have need bikes were in a certain position to cause this

Your rear side radars work flawlessly but are disrupted by your bike-rack with a 3 bikes load.

I don't believe this safety feature can be toggled off. I think your best workaround is to not obstruct the rear radars with any bike-rack.

Disconnecting these 2x radars is not a really good option safety wise.

You can experiment on your own watch with kitchen aluminum foil taped over... not sure how radar will deal with reflected waves. Disabling safeties is not too safe, right?
These blind-spot radars have saved me a couple times when I least expected troubles. ✌️

You have your answer. It's not the car, it's the operator. Take the wheels off the bikes and put them in the trunk, back seat, or wherever.
