ESP/ABS module
i was hoping that someone here could direct me to a mechanic or speed shop that has the capability to re program a used ESP/ABS module for my 09 c63 in my area. Dealer will not (cannot) perform this service and shops i know and have used in the past do not have this capability. My understanding is that this module is vin coded and will not interact with the car until re programmed. I am in the Seattle area of Washington state. Dealer wants to sell me a new one for $1800 plus installation(car will not function with module installed until reprogrammed so cannot install myself and drive for programming) as well as up to $400 for programming. Love the car and have no plans to sell. Car is wifes daily driver and its been sitting in the garage for a month now after waiting for a rebuild from module masters which did not correct issue.

The issue with brakes is liability - A shop install used unit, wife climbs a tree, then what...
What is the issue, fault you're facing???
ESP/ABS has two major components: the hydraulics vs. control module?
What's wrong with yours?
Hopefully only the electronic part. That can be shipped around and reprogrammed - Or chip can be transferred via soldering.
The hydraulic octopus is plenty of work, frustration and DOT-3... Don't rush at it!
