My 2013 W221 diesel has developed an oil leak at the top of the engine. Majority of the oil seems to be near the right hand side of the turbo when you look at it from the front. Oil seems to be squirting up from somewhere as the oil is on the lining of the plastic cover that needs to be removed to access the engine, as well as at the very back of the bonnet lining, and it's dripping down to the area in the attached photo.
The V was inspected and the bottom of the engine is bone dry. The turbo, pcv and the 2 charge pipe seals were changed but the oil is still squirting up/sideways
from somewhere. No related errors thrown when scanned.
There is a little oil puddle in the area circled in white and the oil is generally in the area marked with red.
Any help or ideas where this could be coming from? Car is on 125k miles
Your turbo diesel OM642 has a new PCV and is still squirting oil from engine top.
You're gonna need to do some research either elbow deep in oil or with your keyboard...
Your crankcase pressure needs relief to vent out of the engine. The weakest seal gets breached! It's better to have a dirty comestic leak than popping a rear main seal.
Help your engine vent less or better rather than plugging up new seals.

These 3 seals were changed. The pcv seal is the small brown one in the photo, however, the oil squirt issue was preexisting way before we changed the pcv seal. So I don't think the oil leak is related to the pcv

the oil leak is related to crankcase pressure relieving out - Help PCV vent out.
