2014 GL350 DRL Flickering Need Help!!

Hi everyone, thankyou for your input on my Flickering DRLs

How I think they are suppose to work, Switch in Auto, Super Bright in the Daytime, when Headlights and Park Lights come on at night, they dim to a lower intensity

What mine do, Switch in Auto, flicker and pulse erratically like a police car, looks super cool, but not cool... haha
When head lights and park lights come on at night, everything looks as it should, with DRLs at lower intensity

I have removed the Light from the bumper, i get the Check DRL Code on dash, that goes away once installed again after cycling ignition

i can hook the light directly to the battery and it is super bright with no flickering,

i have pierced the wires to the light when connected in its natural habitat, when i connect my meter its getting 13.5VDC with no interruptions but light still flickers

with light unplugged i have 0 Vdc at the connector, im assuming it has something to do with error on dash, when i plug it back in it stays out until i cycle the ignition, then back on and flickering again

I really dont know where to go from here…

Any help when you have time would be great!

Hello, Its a stock LED Running light part

A2049065501

I pierced both wires going to the light to take my reading, so essentially my meter was in parallel with the light
vehicle has 220,000km or 136,000mi

> Upstream vs. downstream :
Based on your inputs, the poor connection is inside the light itself then.

It's either gonna need a "5mn solder job" or a new/used replacement unit.

Can you open up this light fixture ???

Power supply voltage may be pulsed rather than a flat DC voltage.... in which case the ballast may be causing this as well.

When light is connected directly to battery it works fine. And it only flickers on the high intensity daytime setting, so i dont think the problem is in the light

do you know where the ballast or driver is located for these?

the solderless LED ballast module is mounted directly at the bottom or rear side of the HL enclosure.... you can swap L-R modules for testing (like we do to test bad sparkplugs or coils)

Hello, i have removed the Headlight Module located on the side of the headlight housing, it is not related to the DRL in the bumper
they continue to flicker with the module removed on both left and right sides

i have also called Mercedes Parts Dept and asked for a DRL module or controller, and they advised me that there isnt one for the gl35does anyone have the wiring diagram or schematic?
