WTB: CLS55
Not me but for my friend whose cl55 caught on fire last night (story in cl55 forum). I know that there are some good cars on here (where people actually take care of them) or someone might be able to point me/him in the right direction. Hoping for mid $30k. Preferably relatively low miles and warranty in the San Diego area.

My bad... well originally I had included WTB sl55 or cls55 so therefore had the 04 05 thing, but I don't think he's totally sold on the sl55 just cuz its kinda small so I took it out.... but I edited it right now anyway... thanks.... makes me seem like a damn novice!

land rover range rover
easily?
i've been looking for over a month. i'm not arguing your statement, but i am not finding it so easy. manheim has wholesale 06's at 36-39k depending on miles. if you know of one under 50k miles and under 38k, let me know. original poster- great time to buy as they just took a 4k dump in the last week in black book. while the cls500 only took a 1k dump in the same period.

$37,200 and 49,508 miles. I figure that Manheim is at least $3-4K lower than eBay for a comparable below-average (Im guessing) car because thats the type of markup dealers are putting on auction cars nowadays from what Ive researched, but theres your answer if you want to get in one today

50k miles is too much..... looking for under 40.... preferrably in the 30s or even under would be best..... maybe in a couple of weeks when the value of those (and our) cars go down something else ridiculous....... geez

Quick search on ebay turned up this:

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
You are right. They don't, at least...
not today. I'm in the industry, and you can buy a CLS for 34-38 at a Manheim auction--but it's going to have 46k, it won't be the best color, and it won't be a puff. For people that have never been there, folks just don't understand what most of these cars look like in the auction lane. They don't look or feel like the cars that you guys love and care for here, or see on the front line at the big MB dealer's lot. We can get them back to great health--but that takes $$ and time. Cars at the auciton have dings, scratches, no books, one key, curbed wheels, dead batteries, dirty mats, etc. It just takes a while to get things back to exactly where guys on this board would want them. And in this marketplace, average cars are doing nothing. And there are a bunch of average (or less) cars around. An exceptional car will always bring more--and there's lots less around.
