That does sound a little steep. There is a 2006 E55 AMG for $35k and 2005 E55 AMG for $30k a few threads above yours...

If it really is that well equipped you should either post the vin or a copy of the build sheet and/or window sticker. It looks like it does not have designo from here. It should have everything else though at your price.

I definetly am not disagreeing, you guys know more than i do. I'm just going by what the book says. The car doesnt have designo nor keyless go. If i put it for 29 then i may get boned for 25, I can't take 25 for it at this moment. Also the amg is an 8cyl correct? some may not want the 8 in the amg.

What book? The guys here are using Manhiem as a reference starting point.
Get a look at that "book" and you will really know where you stand.

Good luck. Really.

I know that they're using manheim and in todays market its raping everyone trying to sell their cars, well aware of that. Most people pay for anything what they think it's "worth to them". Auction prices at manheim of course is driving the market down, that's quite obvious. However, it's really simple if anyone is interested, they will get in touch with the buyer, otherwise i don't think a reply is needed or anyones' two cents. I would rather pay 3-5k more knowing someone took care of the car versus saving the same 3-5k and being left in the dark, not knowing if the oil was changed properly, car not being maintained properly etc, but i guess that's just me. I guess when i posted this back in december we weren't in much of a recession. Jtamburino if you're really interested, why don't you throw out a number, I've already thrown mine out.

if i can find that i prolly would try and talk higher, who knows, but dealers have different items to trade and they prolly will not give me 25 for the car, more like 20-22 or some nonsense like that.

2006 E500 4Matic
Just as a reference, I picked up a Certified 2006 E500 4matic with 40K on it, loaded, CPO with 4 year 100K factory warranty for under 25K at the MB dealership in January, not a scratch or ding on it, anywhere.. Sticker on this one was 70K..

I could have bought a Certified 2006 E350 4matic with 25K on it for 22K, again, from the dealer.. which would have put the trade-in value at 17-18K.

Good luck with the sale, but I would put down the glue if I were you.

if you read my post, i dont know how to change the price in the title and glue is not for me, no thanks. Again v8's are not in demand, so that doesnt count and you have more miles. THanks again folks, help if you can otherwise why bother commenting? Also you're in mn, you have no idea what area i'm trying to sell the car in, which would be ct so things are a little different depending on your location.

You are right, I have 8,000 more miles on a better car, but that is basing it on your mileage as of 12/21/08. On a side note, my car came from NJ. I did read your post(s), now, if you re-read the second sentence of mine, it will give you a comparable pricing point on a vehicle with 7,000 less miles than yours. Location has nothing to do with it.

Best of luck with the sale, just trying to give you a friendly does of reality.

ok, if you say so, we can go on, you're happy with your car and i'm happy trying to sell mine. That's why the world is the way it is, everyone has different ideas and taste, so you may say your car is better, between you and I ok, to someone else they may think different. Key word think. Also it's dose not does.

Here you go buddy a whole mess of 06 e350 4 matics from auction that were sold with under 40k miles. THEY ARE A DIME A DOZEN - and are worth low 20s.

This is from all of manheim

The prices you see can be had from dealers online and they are all under warranty. You can try to swap with a dealer for an ML see how it goes. But my guess is your going to be chunking up some cash to do that trade.

You could always buy an 8-cylinder AMG and take out the spark plugs from two of them, right?
