08 GL450 Lease assumption $855.91/mo

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone was interested in taking over the lease on my GL450 4matic.

specs on the truck :

2008 Mercedes Benz GL450 4-Matic

Iridium Silver with Black Interior

currently 9,9xx miles but truck is still being driven.

msrp of $68,xxx i will find the window sticker tomorrow

The GL is in excellent condition except for a small scratch on the drivers side passenger door.

lease details:

Mercedes Benz Financial
- 21 months out of 33 left
- Lease ends on 12/7/2010
- 9,9xx Miles currently, car is still being driven
- 12k miles a year
- can be driven 1,095 miles a month
- $855.91 a month
- end of lease buyout $41912.49
- i originally paid 6k driveoff a year ago, but i am willing to let it go for 0 down. you just pay the lease transfer fee.

I understand its not for sale.. but how much to pay off MB financial and buy the truck? what is the payoff?

You are better off going to a mb dealer to buy a new one then this one. They are offering sick deals on these gas guzzlers now. way below invoice.

I think it was the past already ($10K discount)... I've been hearing left-over '09s are going around $1K above invoice.

Looking at the buyout price @ end of lease, it seems current buyout price is still in the mid 50's, which wouldn't make any sense to buy unless MBUSA is willing to negotiate since avg. market price for this car is far below that.

I'm staying away from another Merc.. unless is a really good deal.

I'm going for a toyota 08 Land cruiser or Lexus GX460 (new body style)..
