F.S. 02 c32, 65k, starmark, nav, blk/blk, +winter wheels

For Sale
Beautiful 2002 c32 amg Black/Black w/navigation/command
65,500 miles, Starmark Warranty to Jan 28 2010
Includes a extra set of ASA wheels (17x8) mounted with blizzaks (see photos)

I updated the grill and changed the hood emblem to a flat emblem for a more sporty/modern look. I still have the original grill and emblem.
Other than that the car is completely oem.

Recently Completed Service Items:
B service: All cabin filters ,Engine Filters, Oil & Filter
Cooling System inspection & flush/service
Differential Service
Brake fluid flush
New Drive belt
New fuel filter (all the above in the last 200 miles or so)
New brakes – rotors & pads front / pads only rear
New spark plugs and wires,

The beauty of the starmark warranty came through several times, replacing a lot of the wear items thus far: New front struts, control arm bushing, sway bar bushings and end links. Also drivers side seat replaced to repair heated seat.

I purchased the vehicle in Aug of 08 with just under 62k on the clock. All of the above mentioned items have been taken care of since I purchased the car. I have not been able to use the vehicle as much as I had hoped, and really do not need an extra vehicle. A lot of the items that need to be addressed in the replacement cycle have already been taken care of. Certainly the remaining warranty should help cover any significant replacement items. The coverage of the starmark warranty is amazing. If you have questions, I can provide the coverage breakdown, but essentially it covers everything except the true wear items such as brakes/wipers etc.

Vehicle is in excellent overall condition.

Interior is fantastic except for the floor mats. They are in average shape.

Exterior Blemishes: The bumper/leading edge of the hood does have some small rock chips. Certainly in line with what I would expect of a 65k vehicle that saw quite a bit of highway time from the previous owner. You notice it more when cleaning or detailing, not when standing up looking at the car. There are 2 small chips on the passenger door, and 2 scuffmarks on the rear bumper where something being loaded into the trunk left a scuff. Passenger rear wheel has some curb rash, but is straight and no issues. It was not significant to me as I was considering de-staggering using the ASA wheels.
I can provide more comprehensive photos to anyone interested.

No one that gets into the vehicle believes it is a 2002. It will surpass your expectations.

If anyone wants to have the vehicle inspected and then decides not to purchase for any reason, I will split the cost of the inspection. If the vehicle is not as advertised by me (a little common sense here/material items etc) I will refund the entire cost of the inspection. I would like a copy of the report if a refund is requested. I have used sgs in the past but would be open to any reputable inspection service.

I know the pricing of these wonderful vehicles took a hit along with everything else of late, but I do not need to give it away. That said I have tried to price it aggressively. I certainly appreciate feedback on the vehicle and/or pricing either directly here or via pm.

$ 15,750 includes warranty and extra wheels/tires

E-mail or PM for higher resolution photos, or if there is a specific angle etc you would like to see. For a phone conversation e-mail/pm me your number or a request for mine and we can talk about the car in more detail.

Located Northwest suburbs of Chicago

Clear title.

Scammers beware, no third party transactions, overpayment, etc. So save your time.

Judging from your reaction I assume you are referring to the picture of the winter wheels showing the bolt pattern around the rims. That is how they are supposed to look. They are in excellent shape. I recognize 800x600 photos make it hard to see all the details clearly.

If you are referring to the curb rash on the drivers side rear of the original rim I wanted to get a picture that showed as much detail as possible. In person it is really not bad and the rim is straight and has no issues whatsoever. It is purely cosmetic. I am sure you have seen curb rash on other vehicles. Photos can be made to look better or worse depending on your preference.

I have large high resolution photos available for anyone to show the condition of everything on the car.

I certainly appreciate your interest in the vehicle, but to be clear I will not be shipping outside of the US.

I will call later today and find out. My initial reaction is that it likely is not extendable but I will have verification today.

edit:
I did verify that the starmark warranty can not be extended.

Bump. Feedback anyone? I thought that price for a car that is not modded, with the starmark warranty, extra rims, and is that clean, would get a lot of interest. Is the ad incomplete? Is the price to high/low. Photos poor? My tone to sweet and charming...? Admittedly I was hoping to get some interest here rather than actually list the car on craigslist or autotrader as that is opening up to the general public.

Thank You for the feedback.
I thought that was close to the mark given it seemed like a fair bit of transactions in the 14-14.5 area. I added in for the extra wheels, and the mercedes warranty which I had not seen any c32's with. I saw a few with aftermarkets but no starmark. To me the idea of a c32 with maintenance items already done and no real risk of a mechanical cost for 6 months after purchase due to the warranty, was worth a bit more than average. Huge peace of mind. Add in just a bit for negotiation and the price seemed reasonable.

I had allowed the thread to drift down, debating whether to sell or not. I would likely still sell it, but my next step is to not just list on the forums but place it on autotrader etc. There was small premium to me, to not have to do that, and list it here, lots less looking and real interest.

I figure these cars are not worth selling as we get down another grand or 2. I do not think they will be collector cars, but when the economic stresses lighten up a bit the relative value vs a decent daily driver will come out a bit via stabilizing values. I look towards c43's etc for a measure of what c32's will likely look like in a few years. Just my thought and why I am in no hurry.

What you have to understand too is most people have no idea what a C32, C55, C43, C36, etc. are, they figure its just a C-Class Benz. So because of that the potential buyers for your car is limited to only the people that are specifically looking for a C32. I know when I was selling both my C32 and C36, they were the most PITA with the fewest amount of ppl interested. And the ones that didnt know would say well I can get this c230 or c320 for half the price, blah blah blah.

Your car looks clean plus the winter wheels/tires. Another downfall is your warranty expires in 6 mos then if the buyer wants more warranty they got to buy aftermarket one. Which they can just get one cheaper without warranty and use the savings to buy a warranty. So honestly your price is a bit high.
