2005 MB E55 59k MB Financial

Guys here is a real nice 2005 E55 coming off lease from MB Finance. It is a silver car with no paint work and loaded with Pano, htd. cooled active seats, xenons, pwr. trunk, Navi, Keyless go. It has not scratches or dings noted. It does have curb rash on 3 of 4 wheel less then an inch on each so minor. The car is gonna list before auction for $28,700.

Marcus, if this car hadn't sold direct through MB Finance, I assume it gets auctioned, bought by a dealer, CPO'd with a warranty, and sold. Can you comment on how much more expensive the car typically gets during this process?

Meaning if you were to pass on this deal, wait for the car to pop up at a dealer as a CPO, and buy it with a warranty, how much more would that be likely to cost you?

That car would probally have done about $500 to $750 more at auction plus auction fees of @$400 plus shipping $400 plus CPO @$2500. These are the creme of the crop cars though as well.

Heres a 2005 with less options same mileage for $32900
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

Heres another with no options (Pewter) and same mileage for $30900 (and this is a previous forrum members car that was totally raped)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

So all in all I think these are good deals on great cars!

Thanks for the insight. I take it you're saving $1,500 in fees, $2,500 in warranty (CPO), and however much in dealer profit ($1,000 to $3,000?). I imagine most people don't actually have $2,500 in repairs over a CPO warranty, but I'm sure there are some big exceptions.

I was guessing 3-4k in savings, but the Warranty is very big for some. Do you sell an aftermarket one? Have any options for us to consider?

I checked with my friend at MB and they can not offer one only a MB dealer can. This topic has been covered quit extensively and I think there a few good ones. Karlson bought his 06 from MB finance and I think he paid @2500 for a Chrysler one.

thanks

Looking forward to a great deal on a S around the end of year. Maybe we can do biz!

emoving are you a used car broker or work for a mb dealer?? I only ask since I see you sell a lot of used mb's on here .

Also the above car looks like an '04. I only say this since the '05's had the new wood sliding center console and this one has the old '03/'04 center console. My '05 E55 has the wood sliding center console.

It is a 7/04 production as you can see on the vin sticker which makes it a 2005. I have a friend that works for MB financial and just post deals every once in a while. I am not in the car business. I work for the State of Ohio if you must know.

WOW thats a real early one. I have never seen a 2005 with that center console. All the ones I've come across had the wood sliding center arm rest like my car does. It's great that you work for the state of Ohio and have so much time to help your friend sell cars. I only asked if you sell cars because you drive a Porsche and are all over these forums selling MB cars. Just thought you were a car broker or did MB Sales. Sorry for the mix up.

That 996 C4S you had looked sweet. I have a 997S and they are fun cars to drive. Then again you had a E55 so you know what kind of rockets they are.

Loved the C4S, did not love the lack of space for the 2 little guys. The E55 for my family is the best of everything for me! I really miss my 06 I sold to Karlson, but a white pano car is in my near furture!
