Benz-O-Rama's 2005 SL600 is for sale!
Those here on the East Coast that have met me and have seen this car in person, as well as my other cars, will tell you that you won't find a more meticulous owner. This car has been my love affair, my passion, my dream car. But with two young sons, and the very real possibility that we're losing our long time live-in nanny, a two seat vehicle seems to be the odd car out. My E500 is most likely next to go, with an S600 or S65 taking the place of both.
It's with great pain that my SL600 is possibly going to another owner but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. The wife and I have discussed this at length, and we've decided that it's time for her to leave the work force and focus on raising our family. Why the hell she wants the job of raising two young boys is beyond me, but god bless her.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Specifics:
2005 SL600 V12 Twin Turbo
Black with Executive black nappa interior
Multi-Contour seats with pulse massager
Leather on virtually every surface
Wood/leather steering wheel
Rare 321 AMG package
26,000 miles on her, with a warranty until 10/2013 or 82,000 miles
Keyless-Go
VCS Voice control
Heated/Ventilated seats
Bi-Xenon headlamps
Bluetooth
Mods:
Eurocharged ECU tune (estimated 600+ HP and 700+ TQ)
20" Savini Forged SV-8 3pc forged wheels wrapped in 245/30 and 305/25 Continental SportContact3 tires with tons of life left on them.
SL65 AMG tail lights
SL63 style carbon fiber spoiler (not pictured)
SmartTop control module
K40 stealth (built-in) front/rear radar detection system
Lowered via Star Diagnostic
Muffler delete (I can have them put back on, if the new owner wishes)
I have the stock wheels wrapped in Continental ContiExtreme DWS tires. These tires have maybe 3K miles on them.
Guys, the car is a zero story, zero drama, low mileage, clean, gorgeous SL600 that has a WARRANTY. These don't come up for sale often, and I challenge you to find a cleaner one currently on the market. I recently had Blackstone Laboratories conduct an engine oil analysis on her, and results were stellar. I have the report, if interested. All scheduled maintenance performed and all paperwork will be included.
I will work as much as humanly possible with the new owner in regards to airport pickup, shipping, etc...
The car can be sold at two different price points:
Price #1 - $49,900.00 - with everything listed above, including an OEM car cover as well as built in battery tender
Price #2 - $47,000.00 - without the Savini Forged wheels and SL65 tail lights. The wheels list at $5000.00 with another 1300.00 in rubber. Granted, I didn't pay MSRP for the wheels, but they were every bit of $4300.00 with rubber. Tail lights were another $600-$700 or so, can't remember exactly.
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number. I can take as many pictures as you want, or of anything in particular you're looking for.
Also, please don't clutter the thread with auction pricing, wholesale costs etc...
This car will not be wholesaled. I will be listing it on the major retail outlets within the next week or so. Thought I'd give the membership here first crack at her.
Now on to the pictures. **NOTE** The front lenses and fog lights are no longer tinted. I didn't really like the way it looked.

RE: SL600 For Sale
Say it isn't so! If I didn't already have one, I'd buy yours in a heartbeat.
The S600 sounds like a perfect lifestyle compromise, I've toyed with swapping the E63 for one at some point in the future.
Best of luck with the sale.

This car is absolutely stunning in person.
Clayton wasn't spewing bs when he said he was a meticulous owner...I actually think he should seek professional help...that guy has a problem...lol.
Dude selling this car will put a serious cramp in your baller status.
On a more serious note I purchased his old wheels and I have to say he was stand up, honest and even delivered them to me.
Somebodys getting a cream puff!

Do your drag racing skills come with the car???
Best of luck with the sale Clayton.
I will attest that this car is seriously mint, and absolutely incredible in person. At one point during a MIR track day there was a crowd of people just standing around the car staring.....speechless. It is that nice.

Thanks for the kind words, fellas ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
If it ends up going to another lucky owner, they will be getting one of the best available examples of a pre-owned SL600 out there.
Thanks Jon, your SL65 was the main reason I pulled the trigger on one. Thought you might want to know.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I know, right?
Full disclosure: It's been driven in the rain 3 times. Boo.
I've also been thinking about an E63 wagon. ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
A properly tuned V12TT is no joke. Get yours done ASAP!
Thanks for the kind words, Brian. You're lucky I didn't call the cops after you stole those wheels from me. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I'll be giving drag racing lessons at MIR for $100.00 per hour. ![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
I've been **** with every car I've ever owned. However, ownership of this car, has introduced me to a completely different level of auto-insanity. My neighbors think I'm absolutely bonkers. It's not uncommon to see me washing/claying/waxing the SL600 in the dead of winter. They talk about me at parties.
Ehem, W221.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks Sean. I was just sick of waiting for you to track yours, to see how I compared to a properly modded SL600. It's all your fault.
Here she is, in stock trim, rolling down the road.

Great looking car!
But......one thing that always bugs me is the, "you won't find a more meticulous owner". / Cleanest car you'll ever see! / Nicest car around / You wont find any car as nice as this / ..................
Like seriously, everyone seems to have the, "you wont find one nicer than this" car. Funny since everyone claims to have the best one.......
I'm just saying...

That is a beautiful ride! I hope you sell it to someone that either knows how to handle it or will let you teach them. These cars are scary fast and can really be dangerous in untrained hands.
When I first test drove this model, I punched it at 70 MPH on the interstate and changed lanes at the same time. It fishtailed on me and scared the **** out of me.
I politely handed the keys back and bought the SL550. Like you, I have young kids to raise!
That being said, you should have NO PROBLEM selling that beauty! Good luck.

I know Clayton personally and I have driven his car, and "raced" it![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I can assure you that it is immaculate and perfect in just about every aspect. Its extremely fast and extremely clean. At this pricepoint with a warranty its a bargain. Good luck with the same man, keep in touch with yourself.

Clayton bro I can't believe it but I understand why. Everyone who is considering this car, I vouch for it as one of the most cleanest, well maintained, and carefully detail oriented cars out there, definately among all that I have seen. I also vouch for Clayton (BOR) as not only an honest, genuine, and upstanding individual but also a personal friend and fellow enthusiast.
Whomever buys this car will get everything they are hoping for. For sure along with peice of mind that they are purchasing from someone who is trustworthy and stands behind what he says.
BOR, as I mentioned in the other thread, you are always welcome to pilot my SL55 buddy! We could all learn a thing or two from you when it comes to tearing it up at the drag strip

I also have seen this car in person and as someone who has gone straight to the orbital polisher after having to take it to a car wash (once) in the winter I can say what everyone else has already said - essentially FLAWLESS (as in dropped my jaw, cursing in my mind, can't look away, don't want to park my car next to it/ want to park next to it to absorb the residual greatness FLAWLESS)!!!!!! Add to that the sound, the wheels and the owner, those who are interested should not worry about what they are getting.
To those who have expressed "reservations" - I understand where you're coming from but seeing the car in person and knowing BOR for about 10 mins will make you understand where we're coming from.
BOR - I say 63 Estate - you'll get more satisfaction embarassing people in the wagon - however, if you plan on keeping the vanity plate - S65!!!!!!!
