FS: 2006 AMG CLS 55 with 030 Perf. Package 20,000Miles Black/black South Florida
Hi All
I have an exceptional condition, low mileage 2006 AMG CLS55 with the Performance Package Option 030 in black /black for sale. I am asking $45,000 for the car. I had a generous trade in offer on a new car, but would prefer this car to go to an enthusiast like myself. I will do everything to make this a smooth transaction for a serious buyer.
Here is an accurate detailed description of the car.
This is my personal car. I am the original owner. I am located in Fort Lauderdale FL. Car is in exceptional shape and only has 21,000 miles as I travel extensively overseas. Car has been serviced by Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale, and is garage kept and garage washed. Never been washed in the sun (benefits to having a drain in your garage!). Smoke free car.
Car is totally stock, no modifications of any type. It is complete with all original items including manuals, service books, service receipts, two keys, tools, first aid kit, navigation disc, original window sticker, etc. Car sticker was originally $ 102,475.00.
• 040 Black
• 281 AMG Charcoal Nappa Leather
This car also has the very rare 030 option that has the following items that are not found on the regular CLS55’s
• 19” two piece wheels
• AMG Limited slip differential
• Special AMG front control arms
• Compound brakes – slotted and drilled
• Special Alcantra steering wheel
• Speed limiter shifted to 186mph (as opposed to the normal 155mph)
It also has the 326 Premium package
• Active ventilated seats
• Heating and cooling of front seats
• Rear window shade
• CD changer
• DVD Navigation
• Harmon Kardon Logic surround system
The car is in exceptional condition. Due to my overseas business travel I seldom drive it. It sits in my garage. I never drive it in the rain. Of course it has some small minor cosmetic blemishes that one would expect with a car with 20,000 miles, but in reality it looks way better than any CLS55 I have ever seen. It never gets machine washed. I wash it myself in my garage, and never outside in the sun.
I am selling the car with 2 sets of the 030 2-piece 5-doube spoke AMG rims. The original set had some curb rash so while they were getting refinished I bought a brand new set from Mercedes ($7,500). The new set on the car is perfect and is shod with a brand new set of Nitto Invos with less than 1,000 miles. The spare set of wheels is in good condition - 95% perfect and has no tires.
The car has a brand new battery replaced in June 2010 by Mercedes.
In terms of the car’s history in 2006 I took it to the old Moroso drag strip (now PBIR) and ran 12.5 at 114mph, so it is a solid runner. Other than that occasion it has never been tracked.
In terms of accident damage I had one small ding in front. A pickup truck stopped suddenly in front of me and I just didn’t stop in time and I hit the truck’s tow bar. It broke the grill and headlights and creased the hood. I had all the parts replaced with new parts - no bondo. No damage to anything else, not even the radiator.
Please PM me if you are interested. You are welcome to email me directly at dsteyn@bellsouth.net. I will be traveling over the next 4 weeks, but I will be able to reply to all PM’s and emails, but there might be a delay, especially in replying to forum posts. I appreciate your understanding.

Hi David
once again I would highly reccommend that you come and see the car before committing to a purchase. I will be back from OZ Friday Aug 6th
but I think that it makes sense the following week when I am back from Canada - I will have two days available that week Thurs/Fri 12/13

Danny,
I appreciate your concern. Ive been looking for a really long time and holding out for the perfect one, and yours fits that description perfectly. Low mileage, extra clean black/black with the 030 is exactly what I was waiting for. As long as it is what you say it is I really dont see any reason for me to back out. I know what Im buying, it wont be the 1st CLS55 Ive gone out to go see. Its been a long road locating it but I think this is the one. As long as youre really sure you want to sell this thing I will wait for you to get back. I apologize for my impatience. I just hope you dont change your mind when you get back and want to keep this thing.
