05 E55 For Sale $22K

Looking to sell my 05 E55. Not sure if alot of people maybe intreasted in it but its worth a shot. MOTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR OVERHAULED.

Not trying to make any money off the car just want to get what i owe on it ASKING $22,000 Accually owe $24,000 on it.

Color:Tectite Gray
Miles:42,500

Body: Great shape No major cosmetic damages. It does have some exterior mods: Color matched grill, parking lights, Lightly smoked mirror signals & Tail lights, Rear window spoiler. O.E style carbon fiber deffuser. Never driving in snow or rain while in my possesion and always Garage kept.

Interior: Perfect condition no rips, tears, fading of seats all electrioncs work properly,Pushstart,Navi,Parktronic,Aftermarket 4700k H.I.D system mercedes all season floormats.

Trans is also in great condition. But again motor needs to be rebuilt or overhauled. If someone is intreasted and is willing to find a motor to install in it or has the time to rebuild the current motor and has the knowledge and and patients its a great car and has no other problems other then the motor issue.

For pictures(link below) or any other addition information i may have forgotten to list on here please pm me any questions i will be honest and open about any thing you would like to ask. Thanks

Alp.

Here is a link of the car with aftermarket wheels and carbon fiber lip that are no longer on the car. If you want updated pics i can shoot a few asap thanks again.

Can you elaborate on what happened to the engine?

42,500 and the engine is shot. I thought the motors are virtually bulletproof.

Would like to tell you more but i myself have not got a solid answer. Unfortunitly all responsablilty & headaches leads towards me and i really don't want to put anymore money into the car. All that i am sure of is that there was detnation in cylinder # 4 & 8 and piston was melted through

Got to take care of them buddy and it will be bulletproof. Regular maintenance does wonders, most people just ignore this part of it because they are just getting by after all their bills are payed and never want to spend money on preventative care for their car.

All preventative maintenance was done on my car from fluids checked and changed to oil changes being done 4 times in a 1.5 yrs at dealer i also have my own autoshop and maintained my car & cars very well. My car was modded as well.

Good luck on the sale but a new e55 motor and install will be very expensive would say if you had it done at the dealer would have to be over $10K.

I think it may be a lot more than that, but I'd need a general part number to price a new E55 engine. IIRC, a non-AMG motor came in around $15k, not including any labor.

Edit: Here is a random engine price quote (I cannot tell what kind of engine)

0000105200 ENGINE 14070.00 12670.00 11250.00

The 3 prices are suggested dealer retail, dealer commercial account (I'm guessing), and dealer cost, respectively. This is a year old, but you get the point.

Car had a pulley and tune, if memory serves. That could possibly be the culprit here. I remember seeing time slips in the 11.7 range for this car.

i found a motor 2nd hand 45,xxx miles on it for 5,500. Labor is around 20 hrs i could do the labor for free at my own shop then send it out to the dealer for a software reflash. Im almost sure it could be under 7 to 8 grand to get it squared away and in running order. Minus the Engine the car is in perfect condition.

You are going to be in much better shape doing the engine swap yourself and selling it. I can't see anyone touching it anywhere near your asking price.
