Picking the Colorado wagon tomorrow ! I’ll let you guys know how that one will go. All the records from Mercedes dealer with regular services performed. It isn’t super loaded but couldn’t resist mileage and a year 😁

true. It’ll need new rotors probably soon. Pass with sensors were replaced at the dealer so I suppose that they must have exceeded minimum thickness required for that or they wouldn’t do it. They wouldn’t take any chances. Looks like it’s a regularly serviced E63. And not many 09s were brought to the States. Anyways I have a PPI setup for tomorrow. That’s my first AMG car anything particular I should be looking at while at it ? And yes. I know about head bolts but I’ll ask them to maybe do the pressure test and maybe they could do a oil test for glycol contamination there ? Is it possible ?

I sincerely hope everything works out, and sure it will DAS AMG!

Well I’ve put a deposit on it. Tomorrow I’ll be there. It’s a cheap flight so it’s not a biggie. Ppl is set up at the dealer and I wanted to be there anyway to see it. If I will not like it I’ll pass. Anyway I am hoping for the best. It’s a nice vehicle. I wanted to have something different and didn’t want to spend ****load of money on it. So I figured this should work. At the end of the day how bad can it be. If I will not like it I’ll sell it. It shouldn’t take too long after all

So I got the car yesterday. Passed PPI with flying colors. Tomorrow I am ordering new fog lights since one of them is cracked. Car looks good. Interior is very clean and well maintained. Will have to order new set of rear tires for the new season and transmission mount will have to be replaced soon. The only thing I do not understand is how the car was configured by original purchased. Removing some parts of standard equipment just to get 2500 off on 90k dollar car seems insane. So I am not 100% satisfied as far as equipment but I like this body style so I a super happy with MY 2009 and fairly low mileage. Hoping to get many exciting miles out of it big thanks to user munworthcrowell for locating the vehicle. I used to live in Denver so it was super exciting to get back there after 3 years of absence. I drove it back to Chicago area and arrived this afternoon. Car is great. I’ll post some photos as soon as I’ll get it cleaned . The wagon needs a good buffing I am not sure if I’ll get it done before or after this winter. Thanks again!

The power hatch is a mixed blessing as well. These cars are getting old enough that the gas struts which hold the hatch open are starting the get weak. You may find the hatch wants to bonk you on the head when winter rolls around - they are weaker on cold days. Replacing the gas struts on a car with the power hatch is a very labor intensive job - four digit labor cost, give or take. Without power, it's relatively straightforward.
Do enjoy it, high option content or not!

Ya all those Mercedes factory bolts have a terrible coating from the factory. Mercedes should be using stainless steel bolts on there cars. I changed mine over to the Stainless for about $80. Easy & cheap fix and they look awesome.

I found my car via this thread now it's time to part with it so I'll post it here. I'm in Vancouver B.C. Canada, asking price is in Canadian dollars. Does not have keyless go but does have everything else. ( I think )

To me if this could be gotten anywhere near #25k +/- it would be an absolute S-T-E-A-L!!!
With the subtle mods and improvements [e.g. interior LEDs; 3M film etc.], the servicing/replacement of major components, the exterior color [is it the lighting when the pics were taken or does that profile shot give the paint a faint copper hue?] and being 1 of 1, it would be an understatement to say that I would be in heaven to see it parked in my garage.
Only 22 hours to find out if it meets the reserve and sells.
Love the numbers chart in the final photo too!! Good info!!!
What say you?

Yes I was the high bid and he had another buyer accept the second chance offer at 28.5k. It shows as being sold in my watch list

Now it's me that is confused!!
Says "bidding has ended on this item" and shows your offer of $28,100 as the last bid,
and reserve not met under that.
What gives?

That is a very nice and very interesting example you have picked up. I agree the standard equipment delete is unusual, but there are some not immediately obvious advantages to it. On the AMG wagons you can have either a 3rd row seat or a spare tire, but not both. I would guess the original owner preferred having a spare, so selected the delete option to do so. Since the car does not have run flat tires, a nail can really inconvenience you without the spare.
