I am selling a 2003 CL600. This is a fantastic car, both mechanically and cosmetically.

Basic specs: 2003 CL600 with 66K original miles, one-owner, clean carfax and autocheck. 744 silver over black leather, grey alcantara headliner. Options include keyless go, trunk closer, CD changer, dynamic/ventilated front seats, and AMG Sport package. Have original window sticker showing $134K+. Texas car since new, never out of Texas until yesterday.

Cosmetics: Excellent overall condition.

Exterior shows a few chips to hood from rocks, a few touched-up light surface scratches. Front bumper has parking nics/scuffs but I am refinishing that for whoever buys it at my expense. Paint/body is glossy, smooth, and all original. Chrome and glass are clear and free from oxidation, fade, rust, etc. Wheels are newer and in great shape. Looks like 30K mile garage-kept car. Recent replacement windshield (rock hit) done by MB dealer for $1300+.

Interior is equally nice. No smells, rips, stains, cuts. Seats looks and feel newish. Wood trim, headliner, carpets, door panels, etc all very nice and original. No real wear anywhere. Missing center console cupholder but I will come up with one for buyer.

Mechanicals: Beyond excellent. Car has been through pre-purchase inspection, post-sale inspection by dealer auction, and third PPI by authorized MB dealer. No issues found.

How can there be no issues on a 66K mile 2003 CL600 you ask? Good question!

The reason is that this car was owned since new by a wealthy person with both a 'no expense spared' attitude AND a Fidelity Platinum warranty! You name it, Fidelity and the owner did it, and most of it very recently. I have over $20,000 in documented maintenance and repairs from San Antonio MB since 2007, and even more on the VMI going back to when the car was originally delivered. I have 27 pages of service history!

You will NEVER see service history like this. ABC struts? Done. Coolant charge pump? Done. Both coil packs? Done. Keyless go shift knob and hydraulic trunk closer? Done. Brakes all around? Done. A, B, and C maintenance? Done. Trans mount, master cylinder, valve cover gasket, ball joints, trans pawl seals, and much more? Done.

This is as good as it gets. Get in, drive, and enjoy knowing someone else paid $134K and then $30K+ in maintenance and repairs over the recent past to make YOUR new-to-you car drive like a dream. Take advantage of someone else putting money into this car and enjoy!

Price is $22,950 including mats, all keys and keyless go cards, nav CDs, all books, all records, fully detailed, front bumper refinished, and a brand new set of Ventus V12 245/45/18 tires mounted and balanced.

Clerical error. That one mileage reading was a rocket scientist at DMV getting it wrong.

I put in for correction, but I am sure they'll be oh-so responsive to me.

In the meantime, I have EVERY record from MB San Antonio showing the car's mileage over time, tracking consistently towards the 66K it has now.

There is no way on earth it had 89K in 2009.

With all the records you have you must be right, but it looks odd any how. What the real chance of getting DVM to resolve this ??

 

I see this now and again, it's not that unusual.

They are not very responsive to dealers. If, as a private owner, you were willing to spend the time calling and sending letters, you'd likely get it fixed in a couple of months.
