2001 E55 FOR SALE 35,XXX MILES PRISTINE!
I have come to the decision to sell my AMG for an SUV. Winter is coming and so is my first child. I hate to sell such a beautiful car but children change plans drastically. Here is some information on the car...

Silver with Black interior
35,xxx miles
Brand New Continental DWS tires all around.
Transmission service performed 2,000 miles ago.
Oil change every 5,000 miles.
iPod integration kit.
Fully adjustable seats with seat bladders
Absolutely immaculate
Couple of minor scratches

great looking, great miles. Really big number, especially one that has been in the northeast most of its life. Just think it might be tough to get a 210 into 211 price territory. But hey, someone has already bid it up to a really good number, even though it hasn't met your reserve.

it does all the money, over 16k, but still not enough? You raised the BIN by $1000 and we still don't get to see the scratches you mentioned because it costs another 6 or 7 bucks on eBay? Wow. Hey, your car, your call. Perhaps there is a w210 freak crazy for miles that will make it work or you. With 211 prices falling, better keep a close eye out. Just courteously suggesting, again, that it might be a bit tougher than you think. In any event, Great looking 55, glws...

Going to have to agree with moving on this one (scary,huh). Its december next week, and I've got a feeling that q1 of 13 ain't gonna be too pretty. I dont know know you guys keep thinking that 210 build quality is that good, (not to mention the rust problem that the 211 doesnt have) but that's personal preference and experience I guess. And btw, a 100k e55 isn't $20k anymore, unless it's a really special circumstance--that's more like middle upper teens on a good day.
It's a beautiful looking car in the pix. Would love to own another 210 55, this one would be great, but not at those $$. Just trying to say that if you want all the money--and more, here--that you might not want to scrimp on your ad, and you might also want to take a look at the several e55's here and on eBay that have been sittin for a good long while. Sorry if I missed the BIN, I thought it was initially 18(!)and had been raised to 19 (!!). If you dont mind hanging around for several months (and it sounds like you don't), then perhaps your guy will show up. No offense intended, just--again-- harder than it looks.

I don't know about you guys but I own both, 2000 W210 and 2006 W211 3.5 years. Both very solid car and never had issue with any of them. The W211 only change engine mounts and Water pump for the last 3.5 years so I don't really think its not reliable or quality issue. In fact, garage queen might not always be the best purchase. W210 is a nice car but can't compare to W211 in performance.

we'll have to disagree on this one, but the Daimler Chrysler marriage occurred in early 1998...so most 210s have plenty of Chrysler in them. Interestingly enough, the 96 and 7 210s (pre DC) are awful cars, regarded by lots of Benz wrenches as one of the worst benzes ever offered. The problem with the 210 is less the build quality than it is the raw quality of the parts. And the rust issue is just incomprehensible in this day and age. MB knew this and knew that they could not afford another hit to their image when the 211 was introduced. Of course, they weren't exactly perfect from the beginning either...anyway, enough about that, drive on...
