**** 2005 E55 AMG Wagon! ****
Ladies and Gents,
2005 E55 AMG Wagon:
69,xxx Miles, Black Interior, Melanite Black Pearl Metallic (color code 185)
Here are the number breakdown for production in MY05: 129 (No way, 129, are you serious? YES.)
Options:
Keyless Go
Distronic Cruise Control
Rear Facing (third) Seat.
Dynamic Seats
Navigation
Heated & Cooled Seats
BlueTooth Puck (installed by me)
History:
I am the third owner, the car has lived it's life entirely in Washington State. (read: NO SALTY BAD-STUFF TOUCHED THIS THING) The car was purchased brand new from MB of Tacoma, and was traded in to Phil Smart in 2008, I purchased the car private party in February of 2012. The car has a clean carfax, no issues. Title in hand, no banks to deal with. The car has no scrapes, no door dings, no scuffs, it has been taken car of. But hey, this is a 2005 model year car, with 69K miles, so it is a USED car, and can't be 100% perfect. Your definition of "in really great shape" might be different than mine, I understand that. I'm a forum guy, and I take great care of my vehicles.
Work/Maintenance Performed in my ownership:
I put a new battery in it (front and rear) changed the CPS (at 68K miles), changed the oil (2,500 miles ago with Mobil 1 0-40) and replaced a keyless go door handle (drivers door). Car runs and drives flawlessly.
Mods:
Engine is totally stock, stock ECU, stock Pulley, never modded.
I put brand new AFE air filters on it in April of 2012
The previous owner installed the RennTech ELM V3.
I plasti-dipped the front grille. (comes off easily if you do not like it)
The car has all the chrome trim covered in black vinyl (comes off very easily if you do not like it)
The previous owner had a custom exhaust system (cat back) installed see pics below.
The car is being sold with the stock wheels on it, they are in good shape, no big rash marks, and the tread is in good condition.
The car has yellow lamin-x on the headlights and fog lights (it comes off if you don't like it)
Why are you selling this rare as all get out MB?
I've put 2,500 miles on this car since I bought it, and as much as I love it, I just don't need this much car... So I'm selling it to 'downsize' to something a little less ***** out insane.
Ok, enough with all that, how much is this going to cost me?
KBB (retail) is 32,xxx for this car. KBB (private party is 30)
We all know how hard these are to find, especially in great shape, especially not in some boring color like silver, white or black.
I'm going with 30K. I don't really care what other ones are selling for, or how much they sold for.... if you find a better deal that works for you, then jump on it!
Onto the pictures!
I have literally a bazillion pictures of the interior, LMK if you would like to see anything specific, the interior is in perfect shape, no rips, no tears, no wear marks, in great shape.
Thanks for looking. PM is the best way to get a hold of me. (or if you're not a MBworld member my email is thenewpegs AT yahoo DOT com)

Good looking car. In the bottom of your sig I always thought your car was black. But now after seeing the pics I can see it's green. Good Luck with the sale! Hopefully it goes to someone on here.

Yes, glad the car is not anywhere near me ! I sure dig it; very cool paint !
But...is the KBB value really at 32K$? Your price is fine btw...it's rarity should hopefully command the extra bucks.

Hey theunderlord. I remember sitting in this car at the Seattle Auto Show when Phil Smart brought it out to promote for CPO cars quite a few years back. I also remember seeing this at Exotics @ RTC either this last summer or the year before that when you had the other HRE wheels on it. I absolutely love your car! Very rare and has distronic and vented seats- awesome.
I can attest to the excellent cosmetic condition that this car is in!
I wonder why the previous owner threw the "s" badge after "E55," I always thought that was odd.
Not that I'm doubting you but what's the difference between Melanite Black and Obsidian Black? I've always though Obsidian Black is a very dark green in the sun and black when it's dark, and from your photos that's what it seems like. Or perhaps the Melanite Black is another variant that's very similar to Obsidian Black and was also offered at the same time...
Anyways good luck with the sale! Sad to see this car go- I hope it stays local!

Thanks man ! The Data sheet on the car says:
Paint Code 1: 185U MELANITE BLACK - METALLIC
Equipment: 251A - Leather - Black/Anthracite
The "S" badge has befuddled me as well. I asked MB North America, and got no where with them. I asked some of my buddies in Europe if they had any clue, and nothing.

Hmm okay, just remember seeing a photo of this car on someone's body shop website I thought. Did you own this car when it had the 7 spoke HREs as well/ did you bring it out to Redmond Town Center?
