Well, sadly, the time has come.

I love my E55, but I want to move into something more powerful and I miss having a convertible, so I'm selling her. She's a So Cal car and I'm the second owner.

Currently has 122K miles on it, but it has the CarMax Max Care Extended warranty on it. Good through April 2018 or 125,000 miles. Whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable to the new owner. $50 deductible per visit for any repairs that need to be done and the rest is covered. All repairs and maintenance done through Mercedes Benz of Foothill Ranch and one at MB Bakersfield when the alternator went out on a long trip. Upgrades done through the fine gentlemen at BenzWorks and OE Tuning. Very well taken care of under my hand. No accidents, always garaged when she's not being driven.

New brakes & rotors put in all around about 4000 miles ago. New tires all around about 5000 miles ago. Service B done 5000 miles ago at MB Foothill Ranch. They told me she's running beautifully and had no issues whatsoever after inspection. She sure feels it, too. Also just had a new idler pulley put in under warrranty.

Repairs that have been done under my ownership (all done at dealership):

-New Rear Main Seal
-New Engine Mounts
-New Transmission Mounts
-New Intercooler Pump
-New Alternator
-Brake Fluid/Trans Fluid replaced
-New Sun Visors
-New Airmatic shocks front driver's side
-New Idler Pulley

Upgrades that she has done:

-Kleemann Headers
-Secondary cat/resonator delete
-Green Air Filters
-OETuning ECU flash
-NGK Iridium IX spark plugs

It's amazing how such simple mods have made so much difference in her.

Option wise, she's got most of the goodies. Only thing she doesn't have are the pano roof and Distronic, not that I think that really matters. She has everything else. Heated/AC seats, nav, dynamic/massage seats, black exterior w/black interior & black wood trim. Any questions you guys have, please let me know.

Bibbity bump. Also forgot to mention that both the main battery and auxiliary batteries have been replaced and are brand new. Well, technically 4 months and 2 months old respectively, but that doesn't mean much of anything in battery life, heh.

Bah, that's too much hassle. :p Besides, the only actually 'removable' mods are the headers & the pulley. I can't remove the tune, heheh. And the exhaust is welll...the exhaust.

Can the warranty be extended?

Through CarMax, not likely, but it's very possible that it can be extended through a third party. I know some credit unions are good at that.

Oh, and now I'm in extremely quick sell mode. I found a beautiful SL 600 at CarMax and to make room for one, I must get rid of the other.

Price dropped to $19,000 firm. If I don't get a bite in the next week, I'll sadly put her back to stock and trade her in. Offer's too good to pass us, especially with a CarMax warranty.

Yeah, I know. It's still a waste for me, heh. Cost almost as much as the parts are worth to take them off just so I can trade the car. So hopefully I won't have to do that.

Hey man is there a fee to transfer over the warranty? Do you have all records for this car (previous ownership and yours)? Are there any exterior or interior imperfections? Do you know anything about the previous owners (I.e. if they kept it in a garage, etc etc)? Has the California sun taken its toll on the paint? Very interested with cash in hand.

 

Time is running short and I'm going to have to very likely put the car back to stock as of tomorrow. If so, I'll reduce the price. Either way, time's running out!

I'm interested in the car but have reservations about whether it can be smogged and registered as is. I note you have Kleeman headers and no secondary cats, e.g. you're running catless. Has it been smogged with the mods?

It's the sellers responsibility to get it smogged when sold in CA...I'd be interested to know where you pass smog, PM me

 

True...until it becomes the buyer's responsibility two years down the line when he goes to renew the registration..
