For sale is my treasured 01 CLK55 AMG 2-door coupe, black on black with 98k miles. If you don't know this vehicle, it was the fastest Mercedes ever produced until after 2003. It has a very nice 5.4L V8 engine with about 345HP and 375ft lb torque stock. Comfortable ride, full of luxury, better than most new cars.

In it's present state, it handles like a dream and has approximately 375 engine hp and 395 ft lb engine torque. Lowered and sits just ride but still rides comfortably. Stock brakes since they have the stopping capability of Porsche 911's. Stock 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds, likely in the 4.7 range now. 1/4 mile in the low 13's with good sticky tires.

Note that the *only* reason I'm selling this is because we have a new little family member and find ourselves driving the 4 doors only.

This isn't your average used Mercedes either. It's very carefully maintained, mechanically perfect, and only 2 owners (I bought it at 42k miles from the original owner still under warranty). It has some very nice and tasteful modifications as well and I will list them below. I have about $5,000 of aftermarket investments. If anyone is interested, I have a supercharger that I was looking to install that is for sale separately. This vehicle remains stock in the engine department and has never had any risky modifications.

Fresh oil change and spark plugs as well as nearly new tires. Gets about 18-19mpg in the city and 22-25 on the highway. Great for a speed demon!

Improvements included:
19" Axis Milano black wheels. 8.5" front and 9.5" rear staggered.
Nearly new Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires (UHP tire http://www.vredestein.com/car-tyres/...anta/benefits/)
AMG wheels included also (tires are no good)

Kenwood DVD double din head unit with Bose amp/speakers
50% front tint and 20% sides/back

Well heck. I joined this forum to keep up on info about my wife's new car, an '11 C300 4matic, but this is awfully tempting.. I don't really want to do an out of state buy, but would rather look at a well maintained car with service records than, say just for instance hypothetically speaking, looking at a car at a flybynight stealership with a BBB F rating that has an '03 that is advertised as being "FLAWLESS!!"
