Good Afternoon, everyone. I am selling my 2005 E55 AMG with 92k miles, panoramic roof, dynamic seats, original wheels, long tube headers, 82 t/b, split h/e, intake spacers, Fabtech under hood aftercooler tank, welded 180 pulley, transmission tune (Eurocharged), lower-temp thermostat, intake scoops, fine tuned on dyno by Jerry 3 different times. Most of the original parts go with the car. This car's fastest 1/4 mile time is 10.967. The car was well known on this forum in the past as the E55 owned by "Cutt". I absolutely love this car, but want to move onto something else. The front ball joints were changed in April. I have not put the car on a dyno, but I was told it was 562 whp and ~620 torque. No issues with this car, is is scary fast and an amazing driving experience. $15,500, Located in Louisiana.

Yup. Definitely will not pass visual here in cali. We have the most strict smog law here. When i went in for a smog for my S55. The tech did not past my car because i had a slight cut on the air filter plastic pipe. I was like wtf??
Do you realize that long tubes are not legal in CA and you'll fail the visual if they see you have them? They also get rid of the cats.
You won't magically pass smog just because you have a good tune. Just doing a tune is technically a no-no, but they won't find out about it.
Yes, I realize long tubes are illegal. "I know people" with long tubes and high flow cats on their car for over 10 years now and they've had no issues with smog in California.

You simply need a technician who is willing to look the other way at things like this and any other modifications like intakes/headers/exhausts.
Between this car and the 04 tectite grey with 36k miles another guy is selling, I really wish I'd been just a bit more patient in my search. Although my car is an extremely clean and well-sorted example with stacks of maintenance paperwork, I definitely compromised on options and mileage and even color. I paid $14k (almost $15k with shipping) for my '05 with 113k miles and literally no options.
Beautiful car. Would you potentially accept 13-13.5k?
