$250 AMEX CG to any authorized MB Dealerships

I will not go to any MB dealerships for service/parts after the many horrible experiences at the three located around the place I live. I have a $250 AMEX GC that can be used at any MB dealership in the United States. It does have my wife's name on it and expires at the end of AUG. If you are located in OC, I can even meet at the service department to present the card. It can only be used at an authorized MB dealership.

Open to offers

Thanks for the offers. I guess I am looking for an offer around $200 which is 20% off your next service or parts purchase (assuming it is around $250). I received an offer for $50 and for that I would rather pay the high $$$ dealership oil change and get something at the parts dept.

I already made a similar offer, but was rejected. I'm still a buyer, assuming I can use the GC.

Thanks for the advise/offer. I know that the name on the card makes it harder to sell. I thought I put it here to see if there are any interest. I mentioned to all the offers that I would give a full refund if the card does not work, assuming that the $250 value was still there. On the other hand, I would be willing to go to a local dealership and present the card if someone requested it. Parts could be purchased online from wholesale MB dealership at 15 to 25% off retail, I am sure the card could also work that way.

Really, the name is a non-issue. Either the buyers dealer WILL, or WILL NOT accept the card. Forget the guarantees or promises ... you have to provide a PDF of the card to those interested, so they can see if their local dealer will honor the card. It's that simple - really!

Okay, so you want someone to give you almost dollar for dollar on something that did not cost you a penny. I have spent nearly 2 hours on this thread already, and you're expecting me to pay $225+/- for a $250 card ... to save me $25, but only if I use it within 45 days. My time is worth something ... otherwise, I am just doing you a favor.

Either you want to sell the card, or you will use it yourself. When you decide ... please let the rest of us know. If you want to sell it - stop playing games - pick a price - and stick to it.

So, to review ... if the buyers dealer will not accept the card (due to name issues), the card isn't worth spit. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?

Again thanks for the input, however I must correct your post:

$250 x 80% is $200 ($50 off not $25 as you mentioned), and I am asking an offer around that. I was never all over on the price. I mentioned an offer around $200 on my second previous post and have always stuck with that price.

Maybe my last post needs to be clarified, I mentioned that parts could be bought online or on the phone at 15% to 25% off retail before the 20% discount from the card.

I understand you are not interested in the card at my asking price so if the card sells then it sells, otherwise I will just use it. There is only a few weeks left before it expires. I thought someone may like to save $50 off their service/parts bill. That's all....... no funny stuff or anything else.

You apparently did not read. There is no need to correct my post. I did not offer you $50, and you did not post a specific price - but rather, OFFERS. So, you would rather spend pointless hours of time on a matter which may be of no value to anyone. Stop wasting everyone's time, and chek to see if the card can be used by someone other than who is named on the card. If it CAN be used, then post a price - other than just a request for offers. It's not difficult to do. If it can be used, and you post a price - you will either get someone to buy, or you won't - it's that simple. MOVE ON!

Steven Long:

Please PM me if you are interested in increasing your offer of $100. I do have two offers that are more than yours. I never said you offered $50

Please PM if you have any comments/complaints about my post. There is no need for you to go out in the public and state facts that are not true.

On my second post dated 07/21 I mentioned that I would like to have offers around $200. I would assume +/- $25 to be in that range. I understand you have spend sometime (2+ hours) posting a few threads and two PM. I never expected any time from you. Please do not waste anymore of your time.

PRICE (for those who do not know by now): Open to offers around $200.00.

THIS is a Mercedes Gift Card issued by Mercedes that can be used at any Mercedes Dealership. The card is like a Target gift card issued by Target for the use at Target stores.

Thanks for the bump

There is nothing I said that is not true. Perhaps you might want to explain. As for responding to a post - that is the whole point behind a website like this. You posted a GC for sale. You said it has your wifes name on it, and that you would not use the card. Since then, you have changed your position on pricing, and also, whether or not you would use the card. Although you would later change you mind about pricing, you apparently have a few offers. You see, when you ask people to submit offers - that is what you get. If, on the other hand, you have a specific price, you will either get people to accept the deal, or pass on the deal. With the variables changing like the wind, it's no wonder the matter is following the wind. BTW - have you checked with ANY MB dealers to see if the card can be used by anyone other than your wife? Forgive me for having the audacity to ask, but you have never indicated what requirements, if any there are regarding this. You are apparently asking for cash from sone, under the auspices that is CAN be used by someone else - even though you could confirm the information in 31 seconds, via telephone to your dealer. If you are so stubborn about common sense issues, it's likely a no-brainer as to why you will not go back to your local dealer. Oooops, never mind, I forgot ... you WILL go back, but only if you do not get an offer around $200 ... which is around $25+/- ... which I am guessing means, you want an offer of between $175 and $225 - from sonmeone who may, or may not be able to use the card. Okay, I think I understand. By this time, I am sure you will tell me that I am wrong again, but will not clarify the matter for me, or anyone else ... but will continue to ask for $, on a card which you will not confirm as to whether ot not it can be used by another party at your dealership. I know you have not sent or posted anything which would enable anyone to check with their own dealer. WHEW!
