ML63 Sighting!!!

My neighbor was driving one this afternoon. Sorry for the crappy photos, (Treo 650). I have to go out of town tomorrow AM, but will be back Friday PM. I'll see if I can get my neighbor to give me a closer look (and drive) this weekend. Sounds awesome!

Im gonna call my GM and find out if the R63 is coming anytime soon.

I heard a ML63 while over in Germany a while back and WOW, it sounds bad ***. Makes my CLS and E sound like ****.

I believe the driver of the 63 is renting a house in my neighborhood, probably down here on vacation. Car has Alabama plates. Driver is German. I was driving my ML when I ran into him, and I asked when I could get my hands on one of those. He replied, "end of summer."

I think a lot of the factory guys like to spend time on the beach in my area, as I've seen several MB's running around here prior to release in the States. I remember back in 96 or 97 I ran into some Germans driving 2 ML320s several months before the release of the model. I had only read about the car, and had never seen one. I was driving my SL, and asked them if I could have a look at the ML, and they were very gracious, allowing me an "up close and personal" look at the cars. Hopefully this guy is as generous. I hope to hit him up for information on the updated G-class as well (NOT the GL.)

I agree. I think they are testing the waters for demand now before determining the price for this new drivetrain after the success of the 55 Kompressor. The premarketing of the 6.3 is by far much greater than the 5.5 SC was, their launch choices are completely different, and DC's planned usage of the engine seems to be even greater. The pricing for the 55 SC was easier as everything was built and assembled in Germany. How much they can rape us with the final assembly in AL (somewhat less prestigious) is yet to be determined and their ML55 pricing model may not be valid anymore.

I've just read an article preview about AMG cars and journalist said that most Immpressive car of the bunch was ML63. He liked it more than S65.
Can't wait until the full article and pics comes out. ;-)

I have drove close to one hundred of them and they not only sound good the power is the differance between night and day vs. the ML55. The seats are ten times better and the steering wheel fits your hand like a glove. Their is two different wheel sizes, if you do not like the one pictured their is a flat rim that is actually one size bigger for you. Anyone how can afford a ML63 and dont buy one is missing out on the fastest and quickest SUV I have ever drove. Thanks Autogunner.
