Hey guys, I came across a set these HRE 640R with tires for sale and was thinking of picking them up. They came off from an ML320 show car and the wheel size is 20x9.5 and 295/40/20 for the tires.

What do you guys think..

Looks weird.. I like more star shaped wheels to expose the calipers.

hmm.. my caliper is black and it's not red just like the other ML55s. If it was red, I would probably agree. I also think these rims will be a chore to clean with all the spokes. LoL

It looks nice on an ML though.. has that elegant luxury look.

Would look spectacular. In 19'' or 20''. No bigger. I think BBS wheels are more for 2 door coupe's and not suv's.

^^ haha.. nice rims but it looks to be more of a perfect match for the Rovers instead. The W163 body design is in the "chubby" side and I think the wheels need to be "chubby" as well.

I also like those Lorinser (forgot the model) star wheels in 20"s. It looks to be one of the popular ones I've seen for the ML. Now only if someone is letting them go then I might go for that instead.

IMO, those wheels are tooo small. You should do 22s on it atleast.

Ill make sure i dont ask you to suggest a wheel if i ever get an ML, those things are UGLY, lol

That could be the worst wheel decision in the world... well unless you want to make the 55 look like an FX45

Those foose wheels look nice I would go with something like that or even the OZ Canyons...

Personally I like the HREs you picked out, with the wheel flairs they're going to look good as long as you drop the ML a bit... again refrencing the ML above it has WAAAY to much going on... Brushgards, mud flaps, side bars, window shades, front bug gaurd never dropped to kill wheel gap of the 20" wheel, looks um a little um

And when your tires need changing I might recomend something with a flatter and thinner side wall and more aggressive tread pattern. I think they will look MUCH better, that one looks to be rounded and VERY THICK which is killing some of the looks

also Matt, you cant see it there but you would see the WHOLE caliper on those HREs... they are a pretty bad *** wheel, just in that context they look a little hurtin, lol

And I bet cleaning isnt as bad as you think its gonna be.

What about these Iforged Sprint wheels? I found someone that's selling one in a 20x10 size and said the lip is 2".... is the lip really that small on a 20x10 wheel? I know it all depends on the offset that will determine the outcome/size of the lip but normally, Iforged wheels comes with more than 2" lip.

22"s Sprint on the Rover!!

Anything is better than stock - I'm suprised that MB didn't bring the tires even with the bodywork.
