2006 CLS 500(sold), 2005 C230K, 2005 E 320,
saw a black ML63 at my dealer yesterday.

Hey guys, yesterday, I saw a ML 63 at Palm Beach Mercedes. A service tech guy was parking it out front. Looks absolutely great. It was black.

I think Mercedes has it right on this ML. Planning to put an order for one later this year. But its definately in.

Hey DJ, ALL ML63 for North American consumptions WILL come with wood trim, no exceptions the woodies have won the war.

If you don't like it I suggest you fire off a email to MB asking them to consider making aluminium standard like Europe. I did that and in my email I suggest to them to charge extra for wood trim, as they say their marketing department found out most people prefer wood here in North America and they would surely be making more money per car that way.

Another option is to check which aftermarket tuner provides aluminium or carbon fiber trims. I saw a post in the CLS55 forum that someone already have a carbon fiber kit for the CLS55 and it's cheap at <$1700. I would have buy that kit in no time if I were to keep the CLS, too bad my CLS's days are numbered as I will be picking up a 997 Turbo soon.

I only drove it...and 1) it was in the netherlands (where we pretty much have speedtraps every 7 miles) and 2) the car was 600km young and 3) it wasn't mine...

When I do the rear monitors I will probably get to drive it and I am sure that it doesn't handle half as good as my 203 does...but one doesn't get an M-class for handling purpose.

greetingz,
