I'd definetly say silver, but maybe thats because I'm coming out of a year with my black sl55... in the miami heat. I feel like a rotissiere chicken in there!

Though silver would be easier to keep clean (and we are talking an SUV here) I personally felt compelled to change to black with a black interior when I saw the burl walnut. If the aluminum trim package was offered I would have gone silver or pewter but with the wood I thought that there was just too much going on.

I dont like the black color just coz all the lil scratches and stone chips are way too visible with time, silver is easier to keep clean and it is easier to maintain clean. And i think with silver color the shape and lines of the car are way more visible than on the black one.
But i do like the black look too.
P.s why distronic is not available as option, would love to have one!

After owning a black car(2002 E55) for 5 years I said don't do it!!! It looks great after you wash it but it takes alot of effort after to keep it shinning. When I didn't have any children I had the time to slave over the car but after 2 children, that time mysteriously vanished. I don't trust other people washing it because I hate others adding more swirl marks to what's on the car now. Get the obsidian black(metallic paint, less visible swirl mark) or silver. Too bad black opal and flint grey aren't available because I love how my 06'E55 looks in flint grey. Good luck.

2007 ML350 w/ full AMG package
Has anyone noticed that the black ML63 pictured above has a "solid" tristar emblem on the grille – this is the first time I've seen one on an ML. I like it. Anyone know if this is an option or a new feature, etc...???

Ok so after more research I discovered that the solid emblem is for cars with Distronic – it's to protext the radar sensor/antenna. Mmm, I just had to get rid of my distronic option as my dealer called and told me Mb was having techinical difficulties (this is the second time!) with distronic on ALL ML's. I am expecting delivery in Dec – to include distronic woukld mean a delay of a month.
