For Sale Blizzak 265 50/20's 800 miles on them
If anyone wants to make me a reasonable offer for 4 Blizzak 265 50,20's that I am taking off my ML63 please do. I have only 800 miles on them. I can be e mailed at mt@tischlerdental.com

How did 265/50 fit the (I assume stock) rims? Did the different rolling diameter alter the speedometer readings and acceleration. 295/40 is stock tire.

I have the Blizzak 265/50 20 on the FX45 (stock size). Just finished a run to Penticton/Kelowna via the Coquihalla highway and Hope Princeton. It was -25C and solid ice in places, heavy snow in others. 4X4's in the ditch everywhere. The car is like a fricken snow plow with the Blizzak's. Not a single vehicle passed me and I wasn't pushing too hard. But as you say they aren't ideal in the dry. I was wondering what tires to put on the ML but perhaps I'll just use the FX for the bad winter driving and get All season for the ML for local (Vancouver) winter. Let us know how the Dunlops are in the snow and dry/wet please.

The Blizzak's are DM Z3. I also have the Nokians WR on the old RAV. It too was one of the only things moving in our last snow storm. Both are excellent snow tires in ice and snow. I'm not sure how the Nokians will be in a lower profile as the RAV has 235/60 16's. It is also not suck a great handling vehile in the dry.

Yes! The RAV handles as well in the dry with the WR's as it did with the stock tires. They are fairly wide for a small vehicle (3000lb) so it handles quite well. But it is not a powerful vehicle at 148hp. It does however get great milage and keeps the young drivers in the house out of trouble. I couldn't say they would be as good in a lower profile on a heavy and powerful vehicle. I suspect they might be.
