OK -- decided to move this to it's own thread. This is a fun topic; here are my top picks for "Honey, we won the lottery!" cars:

Porsche Carrera GT

McLaren F1

BMW Z8

Ferrari Daytona (I believe I've seen a special version that was in-between the race and street versions)

Ferrari Dino

Jaguar E-type: 1967 but modernized: I can't remember the British company that used to do this, but they "improved" the car without ruining it...

Mercedes-Benz 600SWB

1968 Mustang: a perfect "Bullitt" recreation, please!
http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-19...90-Bullitt.jpg

Shelby Daytona Coupe: one original, one Superformance replica with engine by Roush...

2007 Ariel Atom with one-off titanium chassis and all carbon-fiber bodywork & trim (for track days)

That's actually a "practical" list since I can't physically drive an original Ferrari GTO (too darn tall)...

Ever think it might be fun to have an older Benz -- maybe a 6.3 or 6.9 -- and drop the new 6.3 AMG motor into it? Talk about the ultimate sleeper...

I also thought it might be a blast to have something that -- on the outside -- looks like a 1972 Nova with a bad case of primer/Bondo patchwork. Put a short-track race chassis underneath with 500~600 bhp. My idea of slightly perverse fun...

SL/M6
I would probably buy an Enzo, a SLR and then some regular stuff like 65's etc. Maybe a Zonda, but would have to drive it.

I have had the good fortune to ride in both 600 and the old 6.3; both fabulous. The old 6.3 was truly the stealth rocket of it's day, and not so bad even now.

.....How can you answer this??? I would actually need xanax just to lower the anxiety of picking out cars!!!

As crazy as this sounds, the first thing I would do is buy another C43, Ferrari Red Paint, E63 brakes, and drop in a W211 E55 kleeman motor and drivetrain.

I would then use this car to go shopping for other cars.

2003 CLK55
I don't think I would buy that many cars if I won the Lottery. I would definitely pay off the CLK55 and keep that car as my beater. The ML430 is already payed off so I would keep that as my winter beater. Now I would need a nice summer car and a nice winter truck. Of course I would stick with AMG all the way. So my nice summer car would have to be either an SL65 or a new CL63. Thye nice winter truck would have to be the ML63.
Since cars are a bad investment, anymore than that would be a silly use of all that money. The rest would go into buying land.

Since it's only a fantasy I took more of a "no-limits" approach...
For a great example of what happens when you combine a really bad case of gearheaditis with serious funding, read one of the multiple articles on Jay Leno's Big Dog Garage.
