Sprint Booster is a chip that you plug into your accelerator pedal. All MB accelerator pedals are not mechanical but digital. (There's no direct linkage to a throttle body) It's all done by wire. You disconnect the factory wire harness from the pedal and swap the S.B. into the loop. It amplifies your throttle input to the computer. Acceleration and shifting happen much quicker and sharper and without having to mash the pedal to the floor. It does not add HP or Torque, it only cuts response time. I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoy this little gadget. It brings out the tiger in the ML with just a gentle push of the pedal. It's an easy DIY, easily reversible, and cheap at only $300. I have no vested interest in the company or anything like that, I'm just thrilled with the product!

I got mine directly from Greece, but they may have a distributor in the UK.

Here's the first nut..
Then remove the lower plastic panel by removing the three visible star screws. The panel still has wires connected but you don't need to take it all the way out just lower it out of your way.
Then you can access the second 13mm nut as shown here. Once both are removed you must lift the assembly upward to free the bottom end.
The pedal assembly is now free. You just carefully unplug the connector. (remember the plug has little locks that must be released) then remove the pedal. You must be very careful not to bend or break any pins.
Then plug in the Sprint booster to the pedal, connect the other end to the cars harness and reinstall. It's very easy. The hardest part is releasing the locks on the harness to unplug the factory plug.
That's it! Then fire up your beast and take her for a spirited test drive!
Hope that helps! Good Luck!

Sprintbooster fitted this morning, Big thanks to EX-BEEMER for the excellent tutorial.
Fired her up for a test run and..................................
it's a new car
an incredible difference IMO, the throttle is now far more responsive.
anyone debating on doing this upgrade like I was, DO IT you will not regret it.

I really think the ML63 is a perfect vehicle for the S.B. I wouldn't put one in a supercharged 55 kompressor engine, because they have traction problems right from the factory. But the ML is AWD...traction is not a problem! So with super quick throttle tip in, it just brings more torque forward quicker!
P.S. I'm sorry we got so off topic...I didn't mean to hijack this thread...
