Just picked up my new ML63!

After placing an order at the end of the year, my "baby" arrived at the dealer on Thursday -- but I had to wait until today to pick her up. I ordered every option except the wood steering wheel.

I have to say I was a little uncertain about the Ash interior, but it looks fantastic -- much better than in photos!

Although the electronics are a little archaic compared to my wife's Lexus LS460L, this thing really sounds like it was built for those 'Bama boys to take over to Talledega for a run or two. WHAT a motor; I'm having a tough time keeping the windows closed because I love that sound so much. We're about 5 miles from Sears Point/Infineon Raceway, and after breaking her in I think we're headed to the Wednesday Night Drags...

Also great road presence; not only do people not attempt to accellerate when you pass (to close the gap you're headed for), I actually had a couple of people pull over when they saw me closing. Unheard of for NorCal...

Can't wait for break-in to be over! Just drove past my neighbor, who has a couple of Vipers. He looked the car over, told me he thought it was nice, then came running back when he realized what it was. If my E55 was "The Beast", then this thing might be "The Monster". Can't wait to see the Good Doctor's EVO article...

Two Vipers + one Corvette (a late 60's car).

It was funny because he has been complaining that he never gets to drive the Vipers because they are uncomfortable and unforgiving. Once he realized my ML was an AMG he spun back around and asked me the HP rating. When I told him you could see the cogs spinning in his head...

I'm on my way out of town, and will try to get some pix out in a week or so...

Enjoy!

brt3: Congratulations! I am envious. I will join you and the rest of the ranks here when I take delivery of my new ML63 later this summer in mid-July. Have fun and try not to show up your neighbor too much!

Congrats BRT3! It's an awesome ride, one of the only things that'll pull you away from your beautiful Qualia 70" 006!

Plus, I have to ditto on the Sprint Booster. It's a great simple add on.

Welcome!
