Static or cracking speakers?

Well I have had my new ML63 for less then a week.I am absolutetly in Love with car. However this morning on the way to work I noticed a small cracking or static noise comming thru my speakers while listening to satellite radio. When I turned it to regular radio it was really bad. When CDs are on I don't think I heard anything or it was barely hearable.Any ideas on what could be causing this and have others had this problem.Do you think it is a faulty radio or speakers or connection. Thanks for answering!:word

Congrats on your new SUV monster!
Sounds like a lose connector in the wiring but take it in and have them look
it it.
Where did you finally find the ML63?

Only issue I have with Satellite is when I go under something and it fades in and out. You have to fix that crackling so your can hear that killer sound system.
What area did you find the ML63? I am going to keep my ML550 for a couple years and then I am going to step up.

No sound system issues at all... You need to get it to your dealer.

Everything seems fine today.I think it was just a one time deal.Dealer says it happens once in a while due to so-called fiber obtic wiring.Whatever that is.

I have the same issues from time to time. Maybe once a month or so. Shut the ignition off and then when you start up again it is gone. I will mention it next time I bring it in.

Hmm, I have a similar issue with my new '08 E63 when listening to my ipod or cds. However, the static is only noticable when I have the Logic 7 setting selected. When it's on the standard setting, no noise.

My dealer is supposed to check it out next week during the 1k service.
