ML63 tyres?

ML63 tyres?
I'm currently running on the Continental 295/40 and can only get around 25,000km from them.
I rotate them every 5,000km.
Can anyone suggest a tyre that might last longer?

Thats about all I would expect from a ML63, even a ML320 is just making 30,000km on factory tyres, some that aren't kept upto normal tyre pressure are struggling to make 20,000km.

30+k km and going.
How strange. I drive the ML relatively hard. I have 37k km on it and the Scorpions were maybe 5k km this winter - probably less. So 30+ k km and I'm not quite down to the wear marks. Could the fact that I have it lowered about 1.5 inches make the difference in wear? It certainly handles a whole lot better lower. I know low and high tire pressures can cause abnormal wear.

Personally, I think it's all down to the brand of the tires, Pirelli's are just that much better than Conti's.
For as long as I can remember, Conti's ARE THE WORST TIRES ever, they are even worst than seedy patched-up tires from dark back alleys.
My ML63 came with Conti's and I switch them out to Pirelli's, the OTHER better oem tires.

I'll post how many km i get, It will be interesting to see if they last longer than the Conti's.
Personally i think the 4km of dirt road to my home doesn't help these sort of tyres.

Conti's are a soft tire. I always got about 20k miles out of them on my Rover. The yoko's that are on my ML63 still look brandy new at 8k miles.
