ML63 Lowering Module

Reviewing the pro and cons of installing a lowering module on my 2008 ML63. I would appreciate any advise with respect to this modificaiton. Also, I have read that the dealer can adjust the ride height through the reprograming of the ECU system.....STAR.

Any advise will be very much appreciated.

Enjoy the Ride

not ECU but can be lowered via SDS...
downside to that is u can't go back to original "unlowered" height...

with ELM, u can and drop even more i think...

Adjustable Air Ride Lowering Links are fully adjustable so you set the vehicle to whatever height you like. For the ML and every other vehicle except the E & CLS there is no unbolting and the wheels don't have to come off. Simply pop off the stock Links and pop the fully adjustable 1's on. Really that easy!!!!

Ride quality issues?

I am also interested in the best way to alter ride height. It makes no sense to me that the car goes UP slightly while running and then goes back DOWN when parked. I am unsure, but does the ride-height also drop at speed?

Regardless, my big question is how lowering the vehicle impacts ride quality. You are reducing the available travel, so I'm guessing there has to be a corresponding increase in stiffness to keep the ML from bottoming out on the bigger bumps? This is a real concern, as the only way into and out of my house is via two roads, each of which are victims of Infrastructure Deterioration Syndrome...

We use the RENNtech ELM with remote when we lower the ML's for a few reasons.

1.) You do not need to get dirty to change the heights, you simply just turn a knob
2.) You have the ability to raise and lower the vehicle as ease.
3.) The RENNtech ELM is a true plug and play unit, no cutting or spicing of wires
4.) Great resale valve when you return your vehicle if a lease,
5.) Transferable to any and all ABC and Airmatic vehicles
6.) cheapest Lowering ELM on the Market
