2009 ML63's AMG all come with LED tailights?
Hey just wondering since i saw a buddy of mines 2009 ML63AMG he doesnt have LED tail lights? he has the new body design, and rims, etc, but no LED tail lights? were there some 09's that didnt come with LED's?

In Europe I see plenty of facelifted ML's and a lot of them do NOT have LED tail lights. I thought all facelift models were supposed to have them but that's not the case.
I did hear one case here on mbworld, one guy took delivery of his facelift ML and it did not have LED tails and they replaced them at no cost.

Do the light clusters actually look different (when the bulbs are not on) ?
Mines an early MY2009 ML63, and when I compared the option codes with a newer MY09 mine does not have option 046 rear LEDs. But I couldn't find different parts in the Mercedes electronic parts catalog..

I have a 09 ML63 (vin ends in A4540xx if you want to compare) and it did not have LED tail lights. If you look it up in EPCnet the tail light parts shown are LED parts even though my car did not have option 045 on the datacard.
I know of another - vin A472399 that did come with LED lights from the factory (and had option code 045 LED Taillamps)
So, I put the LED tail lights on today. Without coding the Rear SAM all seemed to work (i.e. no faults on the dashboard), however I did code the SAM to show it had LED tail lights for completeness.
8mm ratchet and about 15 minutes ...
I will write up the install on www.mercupgrades.com once I have a photo of the car in the dark

My VIN ends in A4469xxx. I looked up my VIN on EPCnet... I got 2 part numbers for the left and right taillights. I'm not sure if either of them are LED. I attached a screen shot with the part numbers. Is this what the EPCnet showed for your car, Richard?
I would love to have this taken care of by the warranty or by MBUSA directly if possible. I imagine those LED lights are expensive!
