If you do go with aftermarket then id really consider going with HRE or ADV.1.

I think the HRE 940RL would look great on the ML.

Too bad there are no pics of those on an ML63.

A set below $1K would be nice. Mandrus wheels are beautiful but lots of spokes mean lots of cleaning.

If you upgrade your stock 20"s I would be interested in buying your stockers.

You drive an ml63 and are thinking of putting wheels that cost under $1000 for the set on it..... Seriously?

Yea, seriously. This vehicle is my daily driver, in downtown Atl...if you know anything about the roads down there, you would think twice about sticking a set of wheels with a hefty price tag on your car. If they aren't stolen (a very good liklihood), you WILL damage them with our city's amazing inability to maintain their infrastructure.

I have damaged my 20s on three separate occasions...twice on steel plates that shifted and one on a pot hole.

Just a thought. Jeez.

If the roads are that bad, I'd go with 19s or 18s so they don't get damaged. Side wall is your friend on crappy roads.

Good suggestion. I'd hate to go smaller than a 20, but I'm tired of constantly fixing/replacing the wheels. Thanks.

You do realize that a wheel that retails for $1000 a set is most likely a cheaply made wheel that is more prone to cracking/bending then a higher quality forged wheel? If bad roads are your conern look into a 1 pc FORGED wheel.. it's for your own benefit. As for theft, it costs me $5/month extra on my insurance to insure my wheels for full value.

A car
If you have very poor road conditions, I would also recommend staying with OEM wheel and stick with the OE sizes. This allows more tire sidewall. No matter what, aftermarket wheels require more care and driving caution than the OE configuration.

As WhitePano states, you must be careful regarding quality of a wheel for a heavy SUV type vehicle. They tend to be heavy which could cause your vehicle to performance poorly and they are more prone to breaking.
