new ML63 AMG owner from canada - What tires!
Hey guys
I recently picked up a 2008 ML63 AMG
I came from an FX45
Before that IS300 and Miata and 240sx.
I have the 20'' AMG rims, and I wanted to pick up the 2009'' 20'' rims for SUMMER wheels.. so i was gunna put some winter tires on my original 5 spoke AMG wheels.
Any suggestions ?
I want a tire that has a high speed rating, non of that 160km B/S.
WHat are you guys using for the winter and the summer?
Im not a big fan of All seasons as I tend to drive aggressive.
What summers do you have?
how long have you had them?
would you buy them again?
how much did they cost
how do they performance/handling/grip
how is the sound
how is the ride
how are they in the wet
how are they during braking

I Just want to hear some of you ML owners opinions so I learn from your trial and error!
luckily I made the right choices on my FX45 with Prada Spec-x for summer and Blizzak DM-v3 for winter so the car always felt its best..
MY ML63 currently has 50% all seasons which make the car ride like crap.....
I need to change these tires this week!!

The UHP cross contacts that come on the care are crap and super heavy at 38lbs each. I upgraded to the Continental DWS tires which ride MUCH softer, handle better, have more grip and weigh 3lbs less at 35lbs each. It's a great choice for direct replacement ...
If you get wider wheels you can run 315/35/20s pilot super sports for a ton more grip

Hopefully it snows in Toronto so I can actually put them to use!!!
Yea the trucks are super fun!! i thought it would be a little bit faster but then again im a speed demon so..
But i defintely love the vehicle !
Just ordered some Weathertech digital fit floor matts adn rain visors!
cant wait for them to come in!
I always get them on all my vehicles that are daily driven
How do you guys think these pirellis are on the highway speeds around 140km?
seems a little rough but its bareably i suppose.
I'm super jealous of your 09' summer OEM AMG wheels! ive been looking for a set since I picked up my 07'
