What is the creaky sound my front end makes as I drive over uneven roads? 2008 ML63
I had it checked out but I could not recreate it for technician at Mercedes and they could not figure it out. One clue is that if the raise the car up using air matic the creak is less. It is an intermittent though pesky problem that I have had since hitting 20,000 miles. Would love to know what to do to resolve it. It's driving me nuts. Creaking & squeaking.

it is most evident on uneven pavement and winding roads, and it somewhat disappears after a period of driving but not completely.
If I raise the car in airmatic mode to the highest setting then the creaking disappears. But if I lower the car the creaking sound returns.
One possible explanation is that there may be a problem with the airmatic suspension. The other is that there is an issue with the engine mounts. I dont know but car is still covered under warranty for a few months and I want to get it sorted out.
Any experience with the issue?

take it in and say the front end is going to fall offf. there are some tech bulletins on sway bar links I think and on front diff bushings and I had my steering rack adjusted. Also on the suspension module There is a software update on my VIN

My front sway links went out at 45k, right after I got the car, the boot was leaking the oil, drying the link out. Only cost 100 bucks for both sides and a very easy DIY. Just get OEM not a cheap link, like I said its only 100 bucks and you'll never worry about it again.

I hadf the same problem as the OP in my 07 ML63 and ended up replacing the engine mounts and the whole front airmatic suspsension. The engine mounts i had to pay for as my engine mods fubarred the warranty but the airmatic MB graciously covered even though my 3 year warranty expired becuase a) it is a notorious fault and b) the car had a mere 28k kms on it at the time.

It turned out that the I needed to replace the struts. They covered it under Extended warranty. I recorded the video and noise on my iPhone when driving and emailed it to everyone in service. They finally realized what the issue was. These struts can wear out quickly.
