Great! I'll try that.
The squealing is so terrible that I drive differently to decrease the amount of brake use.
Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I did bring it in first for the noise. They cleaned the pads and put some squeal stop. The noise returned within a day which is when I called MB Canada. I believe you need to see the dealer first before calling MB Canada.

If I don't get adequate resolution from Mercedes Canada, this will be my next option.

I found a part number of CT1291-1521 for the front pads, but none for the rear.
Does anyone know that number? Are they made? Also, where is the best dlr to buy them from? Many thanks.

Great! I'm test driving a 2013 ML63 with the performance pkg. and now you all have me worried about squeaking breaks being an issue which will not make the wife happy after dropping 90k for a squeaky SUV. It is a CPO with 2,900 miles on it. Should I avoid and look for a different MB product? I like the fact the dealership is 2mins from my house. Anything else I should be aware of? Thanks in advance

I have been driving about a week with the MB replacement pads and now starting to notice some brake squeal as i come to a stop. It is a lot quieter and not like before. I will keep monitoring to see if it gets louder. Originally Posted by Rockymtnjoy

Rockymtnjoy - I am assuming you are hearing no noise during your test drive. You may need to take it out a few times to fully test it out.

I heard a minor squeak which was not as bad as my wife's BMW which was remedied with new pads. I picked up the ml63 yesterday and haven't heard any squeaks but if it gets loud I will make sure MB fixes it. The upside is I will have new pads at no charge. Now having had sport cars this is not abnormal with big brake systems to have chronic squeaks which goes away when they are hot, such as driving around a track.Originally Posted by drtdvl

Let us know if you get different brand pads and if they are squeak free after a couple thousand miles.

Yep, my brakes in the front squeak when coming to a start. Granted this is during the first few miles of city driving. I'm driving about 50miles of highway today and will see if they squeak afterwards. If the do, I have an appointment tomorrow to get a operational run through and will mention the squeak and get it fixed or replaced.

My brakes squeal like I'm driving some POS. Oh well...

Of course today I scheduled to take it in and the brakes wouldn't squeak on the way there.

Ok ok guys. I just heard a Bugatti V. come to a stop and the breaks squeak. Talk to the guy and he said all the high performance breaks he's had on his 300k+ including his SLS black series have breaks that squeak until they are really warmed up. Also depends on humidity, etc. He's running Carbons which help eliminate the squeak but his Bugatti still squeaked. Moral of the story...don't worry about it unless it's really loud and with mine it doesn't squeak all the time. Also the loaded manual on our AMG's even states that theses Hp brakes will squeak.
