Anyone bought one with really high miles >150K?
My local Benz Dealer is listing a '07 ML63 with clean carfax, excellent service history and overall clean vehicle but it has 180K miles. I want one pretty bad, and this is a way to get one pretty cheap, but those miles...yikes. Most people I ask say to run away.

Yes if it were American made but it's German. You need to drive it, review the maintenance records have a trusted indie check it out because there are service bulletins and "known issues" with every vehicle. But don't let mileage scare you. I purchased an S class with 89k on it. It finally died at 325k saving my youngest's life in a bad car accident. So don't let mileage scare you. Just do your homework. And it's a Benz dealer so it's been looked over. Good luck.

mine is at 106k and running great. Like the other post said, definitely check the service history really well and get a local MB dealer to print you out the internal one that MB keeps as that often is much more detailed on what was done (if taken to dealers for service). Get it checked out and you probably can't pull it off since you're over 100k but see if you can get a warranty for it because that will give you a HUGE peace of mind knowing that you have coverage if something goes awry.

ML55 AMG
I bought a ML55 AMG with 125,000 miles but many I looked at from this vintage had more miles. I picked this one because of the interior condition and went with my gut ......but.....didn't do so well.
I have spent close to $6,000 in repairs the past month but now have a car I really dig driving and trust. The miles had nothing to do with the issues (lack of maintenance did) and based on the miles I saw on many plan to have this for at least 50k - 75k additional miles.

My other vehicle a 2002 ml55 has over 140k and it is pristine. I maintain it and would rather spend the money in maintenance than repairs. I'd take that truck on a 1000 mile trip without hesitation.

Nice!!! It's good to hear that many are keeping them long term. $6K in one month on repairs, yikes!! I hope not to have that happen.

That might help you
- My heavily modified w166 ml63 has 30'000 Miles and I never had any issues whatsoever. And I even track the Monster
- My ml55 amg had over 100'000 miles and never had any major issues.
- Vath (The German Tuning Company) heavily modified W164 ML V58 V8 is going on track regularly and has over 120'000 and runs without any issues. However, the brakes and tires are changed very often.
All these SUV's are/were driven very hard

It's not the hard use heck they are trucks built to be "used" it's the maintenance that matters.
