2001 Mercedes Benz ml55 AMG
2001 Mercedes-Benz ml55 AMG sputtering

I have a 2001 ml55 AMG Mercedes. And when I put the gas to the floor it chokes out and when I let off it will go. Sometimes when I'm at a stoplight it will die. I have to restart it. Does anybody have any ideas?

My troubles sound very similar. Was told could be many things, plugs, wires and so on. Any time stress is put on the engine, fouled plug, MAF sensor etc would fail at hi-er RPMs. So before I changed the fuel filter, which I did a week or so later I got the tank down to 1/4 and added a bottle of Techron. While driving around veru tamely and burned that gas/injector cleaner. I ran 1 more round of that mixture then filled up with BP {white gas} 93 proof. While out keeping it less than 3500rpm I nailed the button. Felt like being on the back of Secrateriat outa the gate. It quickly down shifted and rolled up to 6k rpm with no problems. My issue was clogged injectors. I actually threw 5 codes 0300 0301 0302 0303 0304, all cylinder misfire codes. I keep a cheepie OBD2 scanner with me to clear and see whats happeing
I would start there, then on to MAF sensor then on to pugs and wires. Hope this helps
