Massage function not working on passengers seat.

Very strange, I have a 2013 ml63. Everything works on my seats except the massage function on my passenger seat. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Did you manage to fix this? I would try disconnecting all the electrics from the car and reconnecting as a starter. Take a look at the harnesses and watch out for frayed and damaged electrical wires.
Best regards

On my wife 2014 ML63 i had to open both front seats and replace some vacuum houses due to a leak. I would hear a hissing noise coming from the seats and eventualy the system will shutdown the air pumped into those houses. The bolster adjustment will not work as well. The car was 5 years old and the houses were gone. Talking about quality materials being used in a 100K SUV.

Oh dear. Where did you source the replacement hoses? I bet they don't have a Mercedes part number :-(

I got them on Amazon. Slightly thicker but i manage to make it work.

The original ones were not very flexible. Make sure you hear the hissing noise before you start dismantling the seat. It is a pain in the butt. I drove the car for a while with both seats open until i measured and ordered the hose.
You have to open the back and the side of the seat.

do you have work instructions for how to open the back of the seat? I haven’t taken time to inspect it but I believe this is what caused my massage to stop working today. I will hear a “hiss” (similar to air escaping) when the massage gets to the top of the driver seat.

No instactrions, but I had to remove the plastic cover on the side of the seat and plastic bracket under it that has screws and the back cover which hangs by 2 plastic pieces on top and some screws I think.

thanks for getting back to me. I will reach out to a forum member for WIS just so that I am not working blind and/or breaking tabs.

@chassis im hoping you could assist with work instructions for removal of the back panel of the front seat. It looks like first I would have to remove the side seat trim to access fasteners. Hoping when you get a chance you could find the instructions and post to this thread. Thanks in advance.
