I have no experience in all this. The paper they gave me says xentry on it.Yes they provided a print out that shows cylinder 5 compression at 9-10.

Hello. I am new here and I wanted to reach out to the community about my problem. About 7 months ago I purchased a used 18 GLS 63 without a warranty and just now i experienced a misfire and I learned from the dealer that Cylinder 5 has low compression and needs a 20k dollar repair. Any recommendations?
in my situation -cylinder 7 misfire, i couldn't get the mb dealer to do compression test. they insisted on first replacing spark plugs and coils and, if that didn't fix issue, they would do compression test. i took it to indy shop and had them replace all plugs/coils and issue appears resolved. vehicle runs great after replacing coils/plugs. i'm no expert and i would definitely visit another shop for second opinion. maybe try a reputable independent shop.

Here’s a small update about my situation. Mercedes USA refused to help with Goodwill, even though my car meets all the parameters for mileage and maintenance history at dealerships. Only because I didn’t buy it from MB dealer..
20k dollars is the repair estimate CYLINDER 5 LOW COMPRESSION, CYLINDER LEAK DOWN THROUGH EXHAUST VALVE SEAT. REPLACE LEFT CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY, ALL VALVES.
I was the one that requested the cylinder five compression test because of a misfire and check engine light that I got.
Im shocked that there is no extended warranty from Mercedes for this car even though they have it in the same engine that is in other cars (m157). Absolutely heartbreaking

Need help
Not sure if anyone can help me with this or not but I’m stuck in a hard place rn. I’m 20 bought one of my dream cars a 2015 e63 amg wagon. Well turns out someone did a great job covering the codes and took it to Mercedes they said it needs a cylinder head. Misfire codes turned into a cylinder head and 16k is what they quoted me. I don’t have 16k and im paying on a car that doesn’t run the best and needs major work. I came across this extended warranty and after calling my dealership and then customer care it expired this year in February. It has just around 112k miles on it so it’s under the mileage all the codes are there but it expired beginning of this year. I don’t know what to do and want to see if anyone knows or has any ideas on what I might be able to do here. I can’t really sell it because what someone’s willing to pay for it probably is a lot less than what I owe and I don’t really want to scam someone and cover the stuff up. Anyone have any ideas I was proud of being able to buy my self my dream car knowing hey I know they can be expensive to maintain I just did not expect 16k within the first month of ownership.

Sorry you’re in this situation. The exact same thing happened to me for my GLS 63. I sold my car at huge loss as Mercedes didn’t want to help and I didn’t want to mess with cheap repairs elsewhere. Literally it was my dream car. It was so clean and I fell in love with it right when I saw it. I couldn’t sleep for days because of the heartache.
