Hello

Can anyone tell me why my coolant gauge shows 50 degrees celcius and sometimes goes up to 60 but drops down again whereas the multi function screen shows the correct reading which is around 90.

i have heard if gauge doesn't show right reading its because of stuck open thermostat but then why do i have 2 different readings? 50 and 90?

I also think I am loosing a little coolant as i drive the car say 10 miles a day and the next morning i get a check coolant level message so where are the common areas of coolant leak before i pressure test the coolant system so i can get an idea of what it could be.

Would be greatful for any help given

The difference seems excessive; however, at least for the W212, the cluster lies about the true temperature


Perhaps time to check WIS about it for W166
