Sorry. Screwed up post...
Hey guys, just picked up a one owner 2014 W166 AMG ML63. Great truck, i like it very much. I am taking care of a few details on it and one I need the the piece of plastic chrome trim at the very bottom of the valance below the front bumper. The pic attached is not my truck but illustrates what I am trying to find with no luck. Do you know where I might be able to find this piece of trim?
Thanks in advance for your help. Bill

Is there something you are not finding when you Google that part number? It comes up for sale on multiple sites. Not sure about availability but a quick phone call can solve that for you….

Yes, I get multiple sources for the part but they lead to something that is not the part I need. You are right, I could make some phone calls but just assumed that if their site didn't actually take me to the part I need but their closest match, that they don't have it. Maybe I don't have the correct part number.
The search goes on. Thanks.

it seems like it may not be the correct part number for 2014 ml63. according to list below, it appears to be part # for gl 63.

Don’t be surprised if you cannot buy this part individually but rather only as a complete bumper/fascia assembly.

Yes, I think you are correct. Will have to figure out the correct part number.
on MB parts site, they want $781.59 for what is described as front lower exchange trim. I can guarantee you i will not be paying $800 for a piece of chromed plastic. Will try to find the correct part number. Thanks.

Sorry, $1360 for that piece, not $781. That's crazy for a piece of plastic trim

i would try ebay. i've been able to find parts for much less on ebay, even new parts manufactured aftermarket companies.

If you would like to pm me your vin number I will confirm the correct part number for your unit. I have a 2015 ML63 and the part number that fits my vehicle is A166-885-52-25
List $418.00. Four left in the Mercedes PDC's, 15 in Germany at this time also.

Many, many thanks to C43 Fun Haver. First, he pointed out that I have a GL63 (X166) AMG and not an ML. I have no idea why i wrote ML but i am straight now. Makes it hard to find the correct part when you are a moron.
He verified the correct part number is am in need of is 166-885-78-25 and it seems to only be available through Mercedes dealers for about $780. He mentioned they price it so high as to keep Gl350 and GL450 owners from 'upgrading' their front ends to mimic a GL550 or GL63.
That is a crazy price for a piece of plastic but nobody ever said owning a Mercedes would be inexpensive.
Problem solved and again, C43 Fun Haver for getting me straightened out.
