its a deal. If you go to mbdoctor you will pay 2500 for a (used) the unit ALONE. (ask 4 sammy )still need gps antenna and 2007 nav cd I'm throwing that all in PLUS an MB Ipod interface 300 value. $1700 shipped.
And if you act now I will throw in a set of steak knives.
While supplies last...

does the factory installed ipod normally go in the glovebox? also does the gps antenna sit inside the dash under the cluster or under the dash?
my wife has a 07 c280 with what i think is an audio 50. im thinking of getting this for her.

The factory installed Ipod works thru the stearing wheel and your playlist pops up thru the dash cluster. The nav unit comes with a small GPS antenna that sits right under your dash or just under center ac vent. This unit has a 2007 nav cd aswell. All you do to use the ipod is to hit the "aux" to the nav screen and you ipod pops up . you can scroll thru playlist songs just as you could if you were manually using the unit. All you do is open the glove box and plug it in and close the glove box. It also charges the ipod too. btw

lol good luck with 1700...and of course mbdoctor wants an arm and a leg they're a vendor for such things, they've gotta make a profit...not too mention theres comes with a somewhat guarntee that everything is kosher...again good luck, if you can get it it only raises the demand price for them!

I got one on ebay (US MCS II in mint condition, and not one of the stolen ones from Lithuania with broken mounts) for under $600 w/ map dvd and then paid somewhere around $25 for the antenna. I'm not saying you should expect to get one for such an amazingly low price, but I am saying that 2300 from MB Doctor is robbery, and 1700 is still over the top!
EDIT: over the top, yes, but a fair price as far as what you can expect to pay for one of these.
I still can't get over what people pay for the MCS II for the C class, while the EXACT same unit (other than the face being a different size / shape) regularly sells for something closer to 700 when it's for a G class or R class.
One thing that WOULD make this unit worth more money, is if it has MP3 CD playback capability. This is something the unit I purchased does not have. AFAIK it was added to these units in 2006, so if this unit is from 2005 it cannot play them, even with a software update (I tried).

Guys, $1700 isn't "over the top". I bought mine for $1000 and that was a good deal. acr2001, you got an insane deal on yours, these things rarely go for anywhere near that price.
The iPod kit is worth $300, the antenna $150, the disc $150, so you can say he's really asking $1100 for the unit but he's bundling it all as one. Maybe less if you count how much the steak knives are worth
Take it from someone who bought all of these things seperately. Its a decent deal.

I must say, the antenna can be had on ebay for under $25 if you're willing to get a non MB antenna (which worked fine for me, gets 8 satellites when I'm in an open area) and I've seen a few 2007.1 MCS II map disks on ebay going for around $50.
Also I usually see the iPod kit going for 200 - 250 and would expect to pay closer to 200 for that personally.
