Selling my Video In Motion module (VIM221P) for 2007+ W221 S-Class. Purchased from Mid-City Engineering about 6 months ago for $499. Works perfectly - selling because I sold my S550.

This module also includes backup camera capability - camera is not included.

VIM221P Camera Programmer + Video In motion Interface for W221/W216 (2007+ S and CL Class)

Allows backup camera to be enabled via steering wheel buttons. Also activates the built in parking assist guide lines. Video In motion module allows the command DVD changer and video aux input to be viewed while the vehicle is in motion by pressing the steering wheel ‘mute’ button for 2 seconds. The VIM221 interface also unlocks all navigation functions and allows destination entry while the vehicle is moving. Easy plug-and-play
interface installs in 20 minutes. Note: 2007 Models must have the Command Telematics update performed to allow the camera programming to function. This is provided under warranty at Mercedes Service.

 

Aside from the camera itself, what is needed to get a backup camera working with this module? Are there any other parts needed? I already have the telematics update. Thanks

 

I believe there is one other part - the RCA to MB video connector that I may have left behind in the car along with the camera. You'd have to check with Mid-city to see if they can sell that part separately.
