I have it & love it.
It has auto learn. (It cuts out all off the false alarms.)
The only time it goes off is if there is any “real” radar.
Also helpful is it lets you know when there is a red light camera.
I also have the valentine…
Good: Lets you know which direction the radar is coming from.
Bad: Everything sets it off! It is always going off. No GPS or red light warnig.
It will not keep you from getting a ticket as most cops don’t turn it on until you are right on them. Then it’s to late.
I’m not a fast driver so no speeding tickets. It’s more for just in case.
Defiantly worth having.

I second the 9500. I have both Valentine and 9500ix, 8500, and 9500i - I tested them all four across and the performance was the same in all 4. Radar is a very mature technology, so not much has changed in detection in several years. The GPS and auto learn have made me retire the Valentine.
DO NOT EVER rely on a detector for Lasar (Lidar) - if it goes off and you are over the speed limit - it is just letting you know you have a ticket coming. You need a jammer for Laser/Lidar (and not one from Escort...although the radar detection I fully support, they rank near bottom on jamming)
