Hello my friends,
My name is Robert Paisola and I live in Las Vegas. I have owned other cars suck as a Lexus SUV, Lexus Convertible, BMW SUV and many others. I bought this beautiful 2005 SL500 a few months ago, and the car has a magical effect on people. I hit the curb and had to buy 4 new rims, I drove from Utah to Vegas yesterday (appx 400 miles) and destroyed the rear tires. I am sitting in Discount Tire now. I will attach a photo of how bad it was. I am then going to an alignment shop hoping and praying that nothing is bent. I am safe but i did not expect this cost. I will let you all know what the shop says (please cross your fingers for me)
Rob in Las Vegas

This is the other rear tire that I will replace after the alignment later today...
This is the tire that died that I a replacing now at Discount Tire in Las Vegas

Hello Fellow mercedes lovers
I just got my car alligned here in Las Vegas and I am attaching a copy of the report. I drives amazing In order to be 100 percent Mercedes Correct, the shop, Arrow Alignment and Ethan Solterz suggested that I consider 2 items. 1. A Right Rear Toe Link and a 2. Right Forward Thrustarm. The big issue is that The rear was 27/32 vs where it is now at 7/32. that is .2 from the max of 5/32. My question to the team is " would you worry with the settings on the attached report. Thanks. rob

New member / need AC help 87 300sdl
A: Is this the low pressure valve where I put r12?
B: or is this it?
C: or is it somewhere in here? i, I'm Nicki G. from New Orleans. I purchased a 1987 300sdl turbo diesel about two years ago. I am a single lady, no clue about cars except that I am in LOVE w/ this car! So, my a/c is no longer blowing cold. Help! I bought some R12 but no clue which valve it goes to. My manual doesn't cover A/C. The air still blows just no longer cold. The r12 kit I bought has a hose and a pressure gage but they also do not fit the valve I am believing to be the low pressure valve ( where I put the R12, right?). I have included pics, anyone know which one is right? Also, am I even in the right ballpark?

Hello everyone this is Bill from central Virginia.
I recently purchased a 2006 MB SL500 in excellent condition and have been enjoying it for 3 weeks. I have been reading quite a bit about these cars and the more I discover the more I like it.
This is my first MB of any kind and over the past 11 years I have owned 2 Corvettes, 2 Allantes, 2 Eldorados and a 2006 Mustang. All of which I treated as "Hobby" cars.
I do most of my own general maintenance and have a four post lift which helps a lot.
I am putting a book together to display at car shows and cruise-ins and would like a copy of the build sheet, (I think MB calls it a data sheet) for my car to place in the book. Where do I go to get one?
Thanks for the help. I really enjoy reading the maintenance tips and solutions to problems on the site.

Also what would be a good brand to be. Please just know i'm being budget conscience. Thank you in advance to anyone that can possibly help me with this information.

Hi all. Just got my first Benz, a 2009 Ml320 Bluetec. Hope to get many years out of it. It will become one of my pastimes in retirement. As long as it doesn't break the bank. lol

Howdy back at cha!
Thanks for the Welcome!
Although I HAD a 450 SL and I moved on to a 633csi BMW neither of which can I recall the model years at the moment, I am currently visually impaired and unable to pass the DMV test so owning a car is out for the rest of my life... Roller blades though, they keep the cardio tip top.
Just trying to help a friend, a grandmother raising her daughters five kids, fix up to sell a 2001 E320 4DR Sedan so she can purchase a car for her teenage grandson who WILL BE a very famous basketball star from Palm Springs, CA USA!
Used to own useful.com (wannabe Facebook) back in Dec, 1996 but having too much fun got in the way...
Please check out my other posts if you are of a kindred spirit, one of those who like to help others, be useful, etc.
Thanks in advance!

1985 300D, 1985 380SL, 2015 ML250, 1967 Mustang
Hello, everyone, this is Ralph Tovar. I live in southern part of Miami, FL, and purchased my first Benz in 1996 (a 1985 300D) from my neighbor. I have always loved the 300D's. A few years later, I purchased a 1985 380SL that I thought was in excellent condition (more on that in a later post). And a few years ago, I purchased a 1987 300TD from a customer. It has 413K miles and is still going strong, though the body looks a little like Fred Sanford's truck...
I have been reading the postings on this website for quite a while now, so I finally decided to join and hopefully I can contribute with some of the lessons I have learned about the classics from the 1980's.

New to the MB and AMG world!
Hello. My name is Larry. I just purchased a '12 C63 AMG. This is my first Merc and I am very excited. To be honest...I did not know or understand how much power these vehicles had until I test drove mine. WOW!
I do not anticipate wanting to do too much to her, but I have already found myself looking at the Renntech and VR Tuned plug in ECU flash options. If anyone has advise or feedback on these two, or any other plug in option, please PM me.
Thank you!
Larry

New member here. I'm going to look at a 2005 clk500 cabriolet later today. If I buy, it'll be my first Mercedes. The car shows 93k miles. Can anyone help me figure out if this car has the balance shaft/idler gear issue that I've read about elsewhere? The last six numbers of the vin are 454768. Thanks in advance for any help given.
Ps what else should I watch out for on this car?

First Benz
Hi everyone:
Just purchased my first Benz 2009 ML320 Bluetec. Looking forward to sharing my new past time with you all. All reports boast quality but sophisticated maintenance. I am up to the challenge with "alldatadiy" and the icarsoft MBII. Just finishing a rebuild of an aluminum travel trailer, made in Canada(Travelux 23) , similar to Airstream,Avion, Silverstreak, take your pick. I needed a TV with the torque of a diesel, and i think i have the right combination. Stay tuned, for the inaugural outing. Kind regards from New Brunswick , Canada
PS-Photos to follow, as i get to know our site.

2005 CLS 350 AMG
Hi
Not sure where to place this post. Just buying a 2005 CLS 350 AMG (AMG so I am told but no badging).
Previously had C63 AMG and an ML63 AMG
I am trying to find an appropriate owners manual. My BMW broke down and I was given this car to loan whilst repair was done to BMW 130i, and I fell in love with it. The wife does not like large cars, but as it was only a loaner she accepted it into the household for a few days and when I said I prefered it and could do a deal, she OK´d it :-) 245,000 kilometres (I live in Almeria, Spain) and 1 owner from new. Needs work like new discs and pads and full oil and filters to start, but would like it to look and run well.
Anyone got an Owners Manual for sale please?
