Good afternoon from the Mile High City of Denver Colorado.
I am sure my title needs a little explanation... First tho I joined due to some questions after completing the first Oil change on my 09 C300. (I'll put that in the correct thread later tho)
I bought my first Benz this past January after a lengthy search for an at least semi luxury yet fun to drive car. I never buy new and after much research found my one owner 2009 C300 less than 60K miles, and for a very good price. Thus new owner of my first MB. Though not new to MB; I was for a time a tech back in the mid 1970s at a local Mercedes dealer. (Leo Payne) I gave that up for what at the time seemed like a better career path. Hind-sight tho is always 20/20 and sometimes I wish I had stayed in the automotive business as I did not realize the opportunity I had... Ah well such is life....
As a member I hope to get the answers I need as well as be a helpful member if I can.
Best Wishes to all!
Hi, I'm Naren from Boston. My wife got our second diesel MB, a GL350 Bluetec a few years ago. Now she loves it, though initially, she felt that it would be too much of a change from the first MB we had, an E350 Bluetec.
I just bought an 02 E320. Looks great, 88k, runs smooth but came with big surprises. The seller had no scruples. Tons of codes and getting loads of faults that refer to can bus communication issues. Also defective display. Please help me as I will be posting all of the issues in detail. I'm in a real bind and made it more expensive by buying the Autel MS906. Please anyone willing to help solve my issues please offer your knowledge and experience.
Hey guys!! Alright so I've basically been a BMW fan all my life and I'm not sure why, but last week I spontaneously replaced my F30 with a W203 C280 4Matic. I have always loved the W203 (post-facelift obviously haha) and so I decided I wanted to try it out. I'm 18 and I love the **** outta cars. Like, literally I'm in school right now to learn how to work in marketing for BMW or Mercedes-Benz. Anyways, after my mom passed her F30 3-series M-sport down to me, I finally upgraded (???) to the W203. So far I love everything about it. It has just about zero signs of wear and tear. Not a single dent, sing, scratch, or scrape on the entire thing, and it doesn't have any rust whatsoever. No issues, no codes, nothing. It's gunna spend pretty much all of winter in the garage, so I don't get it all salty and nasty and rusty. In the meantime, here are some pics!! Oh and also, if you know any cool W203 facts or engineering feats or whatever, I'd love to know! I literally love this thing.

New to forum... thinking about purchasing 2007+ cl65
Ok as it states above,
I am in the market for a CL65 but there are a few things about the car I don't care about. Them being
* Traction control: I want to be able to go full retard. Is there any way to completely disable it? I don't like having the computer sensing and deciding if I am going into a turn too fast or too hard and doing something stupid like applying brakes and forcing me into a cliff side because the car is getting a little sideways.
* Auto tensioning seat belts: As I stated above ^ I am not trying to be strangled to death because of an ECU trying to compensate for my actions.
basically I want to eliminate the car from doing something stupid when it senses me doing something stupid.

Thank you...
I was looking for "TCS, TRACTION CONTROL, ACTIVE STABILITY MANAGEMENT". I'm not trying to drift the car, but I like going on spirited drives and when I do I don't need the ECU trying to compensate.
My name is Tere. I live in San Diego, CA. I've been driving a CPO 2011 E550 for the past 2 yrs. Less than 40k mi currently on the dash. P1 and P2 pkgs. I've been told the only E class that has more options than mine is the AMG. It is definitely "fully" loaded and fun to drive. Driven well over 100mph almost daily! This is my first Merc. I was a Bimmer guy previously, but after driving this baby, this is the only brand for me. Already looking to upgrade to W222 S-Class. Enjoy motoring everyone!
Hi I'm Johan from the Netherlands.
I worked as a mechanic @ a Mercedes dealer for 14 years. And now working for a Porsche dealer.(they use a lot of Mercedes stuff on there cars)
Since i was 19yo i drive Mercedes, or after a other car i always come back to mercedes, and that will be in that way from now on.
I have owned a lot of Mercedes cars, and the one i miss the most is my C43AMG.
Always trying to make my car better and trying to make the car handle better, so now and then i take my cars to the track.
I will post some pictures soon.
Love to read about the cars and the benz enthustiast.
Hello to all members,
I just received my daughters 2011 C300 that was shipped to me from California. She just upgraded to a 2017 AMG GLE43. What a beautiful car it is. I am truly excited to have her car as it only has 24000 miles and is in perfect condition with an extended warranty. She had it all serviced and detailed and it looks amazing. So looking forward to checking in and chatting with you all.
Let us know if we can help any of you update your lighting system with plug and play canbus LED/HIDs for brighter whiter lights, improving both performance and aesthetics
Hi!
i owned a mercedez benz w220 s320 model. i have replaced the solenoid valve and compressor (brand new) almost 8 months ago. since last days i have noticed the car is sagging from the rear overnight and sometimes it is not sagging at all. I am sure there is a a problem with the airmatic component. But the question is if the leak is developed in the rear shock due to which the car is sagging then why the car is not sagging at all when i park the car on vehicle raise mode.
its making me very confused now which component to replace, wheather i needs to replace the valve block once again or both the rear struts.
Car is not sagging at all at vehicle rise mode.
Please help out!!!

I read that as, YAY I got an MB roadster... crap I need 4 doors... shoot this one doesn't have enough power... naw, I was right the first time and wanted a coupe
First time Benz owner here. Just picked up a new 2015 C250 a little over a month ago. Black with black "leatherette" interior. It looks, feels, rides, and drives amazing. The 1.8 Turbo puts out some pretty good numbers (especially torque) and the suspension is very good.
Really looking into taking it to a couple track days and starting to look for good tire and rim packages and sizes specifically for that use. Maybe even some performance upgrades but they've already rung the snot out of this 1.8 as it is. Definitely considering suspension mods but that is on the bottom of the list as the OE suspension feels great both when driving spiritedly around mountain roads and cruising on the freeway and I really don't want to mess that up.
First time Benz owner, long time admirer! Got myself a 2010 E550 and looking forward to meeting new people here. Also learning new platform maintenance as well.
