I'm not sure if you can help me
This is Sam in Cincinnati Ohio and just yesterday afternoon found out about this forum and became a member.
I currently own a 2017 E400 wagon and 2000 Boxster S “garage queen”. Recently I purchase a leftover new 2018 GLC43 AMG and wish to have a trailer hitch for a bike rack installed but have balked at Mercedes Tailer hitch cost and associated labor charge. It’s not that I’m cheap or unfamiliar with labor rates for luxury German car as I’ve owned Audi’s and Porche’s for over 40 years. But $2500 total is just ludicrous for a trailer hitch. I’m also retired and an avid cyclist and part time bike mechanic.
In searching the inter-web for pictures and ideas I stumbled across this forum and found some help. I’m sticking with the OEM Mercedes hitch for a finished flush fit but have negotiated a significantly better price with my dealer who was very forthcoming. Thanks for the help.

newbie jon. I have been accessing MB World for months, but only today have I been able to crack the password barrier. I own a MB clk 320 M112 2002 convertible. Love the car and have broken several plastic parts in the engine. Turns out JB Weld fixes the black engine plastic. .Be sure to roughen the plastic and clean it well with alcohol, clamp overnight. Use a piece of cut up beer can to reinforce joint. Wonderful. Used electric alligator clips to clamp. I live in Palm Springs, CA and would love to meet a fellow mercedes person. Bavarian auto repair on W. San Rafael is the best. I saw a guy on youtube drill a small hole in the air intake snorkel ( to be pluged by a small screw) and carefully spray throttle body cleaner into the hole. I'm wondering if performing this procedure from time to time will clean out the problematic air intake manifold. Any thoughts??
