Welcome New Members
My wife and I just acquired a 2016 SL400 in Cardinal Red with tan/espresso interior. We traded in my 2011 Corvette Coupe, which I loved, but it was time to move on. My wife and I had a 2010 E350, but it was totalled earlier this year and was replaced with a new 2019 Kia Stinger GT2. While the Stinger is a fabulous car, Carol missed her Mercedes, had little regard for the Corvette and is less than excited about the Stinger even though she admits it drives great. So, I bit the bullet and found the SL400 nearby at a dealer in Glendale, CA. and parted with my beloved Corvette. The 400SL is nearly the exact color combination of the departed Vette, is Certified with under 18000 miles and appears to have most every option imaginable so I will need a lot of help figuring out how to use some of these new features. I am active on the Stinger forum and was also on the Corvette forum a lot but expect I will now be on the SL forum frequently. I look forward to meeting those of you who are sports car/ GT car nuts like myself. Carol drove to the Chumash Casino this morning so I will get some good pictures later and post for you all to see.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Looking into researching 2019-2020 E63 as I would like to get a Nut Brown interior wagon and have it paid for before I retire. I would consider a 2018 but it would have to be Piedmont Green (last year for this color) with Nut Brown interior and that seems super rare. I cannot afford new so a couple years old with less than 20k miles is my focus. Would of course drool over the opportunity to get a 2018 or 2019 S63 with the bown interior with Emerald Green Metallic or Ruby Black Metallic paint. But those are well out of my price range.
I had a string of BMWs but for the last 2.5yrs I've owned this C63 S204 because BMW are stupid enough not to make many M Touring models... The car has loads of character and I intend to hang onto it. I got the car on 40k miles and now I'm over 70k. Modifications so far include:
- Genuine OEM forged 507 wheels
- Wavetrac differential
- Remap
- Strut brace
- Morel speakers front & rear
Future plans include:
- KW V3
- Upgraded oil cooler
- Burn lots more petrol
