Hi All,
Just got my car as brand new 3-4 weeks ago.
Posting pictures at instagram @amg.blvck
happy to hear your suggestions on how to make it more aggressive look like.
Looking for meet ups in Chicago area and love to take pics.
My initial project is to get it clear film wrapped but looking for high quality place to get it done. Not found one yet.

Excited for our 1st MB GLS 450 - Loving it! IntelLEDLights BiTurbo Airmatic
Hello MB community, I am very excited to be part of this club as i just purchased my 1st ever MB vehicle for a family of Five (3-kids). We got our used, pretty new 2017 GLS 450, Lunar Blue/ Beige interior at 33,171 miles still w/ some new car smell with P-01 package, massaging seats etc. I have owned Toyotas (Camry & Highlander), Hyundai's and still have a 2014 Lexus LS-460 Sedan. I have been driving the GLS450 only for a few weeks now and do not ever want to go back to Japanese/ Korean vehicle (no disrespect) due to the peace of mind i experience by safety, luxury and handling by this vehicle.
I am excited and expressing my thoughts as i have not felt like driving anymore due to driving in NYC for little over two decades until this fine machine came. Now a days, I look forward to driving . How ironic.
I have fixed and maintained my vehicles and intend to do the same for this one and yes, i understand it is a complex machine (I am not messing with tranny etc.). So, I hope to take and give technical knowledge, experiences and learnings with the community.
Next, I intend to get the windshield vipers (Magic Vision Control) changed myself and get Oil/Filter changed (even the A service reminder have a few thousand miles remaining) for my peace of mind in the next few weeks.
I would love to learn more about this vehicle and if you guys have any tips for the 1st time MB owners, please share or point out the directions. I will love and respect anything i may learn.
Thanks,
Abdul

Hi, recently bought a clk 430 conv and although a bit tatty had only 140,000 klms on it. Lots needed doing so after it got its roadworthy, (one of thing in Queensland) started on the list. New steering damper, oil and filter change on engine, re-gapped spark plugs, cleaned coil packs and mountings, resealed breather covers, new idler and tension pulleys, oil and filter change on gearbox, new selector bushes, new air filters, cleaned throttle body, repaired fwd/backwd seat motor, oil change rear differential, tightened torsional stiffener bars under chassis, re-assembled boot and hydraulic pump cover. Repaired interior light fitting with epoxy, replaced interior door handles with my own home made ones. Re-polished headlights. Whilst repairing trim from front of roof found both tension cable bolts loose, tightened and the roof stays up when you release it. Now the car drives so much better and is pretty quite unless you stomp on the loud pedal. That is one strong "donk" as we say in aus. Next main thing is to tackle the soft top which is not operational at the moment, pump works but needs new fluid before going too far. Also made my own wind deflector. Don't really like the low profile wheels and tyres so will be replacing some time in future for originals. Looking forward to receiving and giving help to fellow merc owners.

Looks like a great car. My grandson had a 2004 CLK500. It was very solid. He was away at university where the road conditions were poor, so traded for a truck. I would have bought it from him but I already had 2 working MBs. The hydraulics and mechanicals in the soft top can be quite challenging. Keep us posted in the Coupe forum.

Congratulations on the 2017 GLS450! They have come a long way since the humble ML W163 twenty years ago! My 2000 ML320 is great, but now has a lot of cosmetic glitches. It certainly doesn't have massaging seats! It does also have 7 seats though, and low range and is quite good off road, but you wouldn't want to get your truck scratched and too muddy!

Hi, I'm Keith and live in UK.
I have 2 Mercedes, a 2006 SLK 350 since 2016, now in dry dock and a 2008 CLK 280 which I drive daily. Both are great cars with different characters.
I have started to tackle the balance shaft on the 350 and will post when it is done and hope to have some good exchanges on this forum.

New and excited
Hi, My name is Cynthia born and raised in Southern California. My husband has a 2003 Mercedes C230 Kompressor and leaves all car repair questions to me. He's not computer or device literate and so I'm constantly Googling information on how to fix this and that. He wanted to sell the car awhile ago but I felt somewhat attached to the thing after years of complaining about it and helping fix it lol so its now mine, registered and all. With this new found interest in actually wanting to get it properly running my husband has jumped back on to the wagon to get this car back to it's prime. I just replaced the voltage regulator on it and thought I fixed it but unfortunately it started doing the same thing before I replaced the regulator. So I think I need to replace alternator instead. Husband just left to go pick it up and I'm hoping by tonight I can cross that off the list of repairs and get moving to the next one. I'm a big DIY person and I have an obsession in taking ugly or left over furniture that no one wants and repurposing "upcycling" and making them treasures (probably why I all of a sudden love this c230) I totally look forward from learning from all you geniuses and some may even say life savers. Hope tp post a picture soon
